One of my favorite Rolling Stones releases ever. I usually prefer proper albums, but some of these songs were issued only as singles so it fills in some gaps. I prefer it to Hot Rocks because it focuses on such a small period in the band's history that it gels much better as a whole than Hot Rocks, which covers the early Blues/R&B cover band, the self-penned riff-rocker, the psychedelic/pop and the "Classic" periods and as a result is kind of schizophrenic. I got this one on vinyl for $3. The LP version has a cool gatefold cover.

I borrowed this on Vinyl in 1981/82 from a mate whom I worked with who was that little bit older,I loved it went out and bought Rolled Gold instead as it had all the tunes but was a double, all these years later still have not played all the albums at least once, making a start on it now.
