(1966 – 1968)

Cream was a band which featured guitarist Eric Clapton, bassist Jack Bruce, and drummer Ginger Baker. In only two years of existence (1966-1968), Cream left a legacy as one of the first power trios. Their sound was characterized by a melange of blues and psychedelia, combining Clapton’s blues guitar playing with the airy voice of Jack Bruce and the manic drumming of Ginger Baker.

Cream’s music included songs based on traditional blues, such as “Crossroads” , “Born Under a Bad Sign” and “Spoonful”, and more eccentric songs such as “Strange Brew”, “Tales of Brave Ulysses” and “Toad”. Cream’s biggest hits were “I Feel Free”, “NSU”, “I’m So Glad”, “Sunshine of Your Love”, “White Room”, “Crossroads”, and “Badge”.
