Oh Bobbi. I miss you. I hope you're not dead and you just lost your password. :(

Cheers. It better be worth it, I'm literally spending my Saturday nights watching paint dry tbh. What is it you do these days?

Oh, and I've been lost on the charts since Chart Stats got shut down. I feel very out of touch tbh.

Ooh, that's almost exactly the same years as my parents! I enjoy teasing them of how old they're getting. (That will NOT happen to me.) I got a degree in November, complete with a horrendously cheesy photograph of me holding a plastic tube, and am now one of those trendy unemployed people you hear so much about on the news. Also I do art, and am having at least two, possibly three, exhibitions in February.

So your parents are children of the 60s then? My parents will listen to most things, then start to moan because they repeat the chorus' too much. Ugh.

My dad also likes Andy Stewart and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, I think it's where my...expansive taste in music comes from. I always thought my dad considered Morrissey like he did Jeremy Clarkson, that of a moaning prick. Franz Ferdinand reference A Taste of Honey in this song (which I got obsessed with back in the day): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiyXjHEN_XA

Hey Bobbi! How's life? I've never read A Taste of Honey either, or watched it (I've been meaning to get the DVD) my knowledge of it comes from Morrissey's obsessions about it, and Franz Ferdinand did a song too. Funny thing, we have that Smiths LP its from in our house, its my dads, but I never discovered this (plus the record, which had been sitting in our cupboard since 1994) until last year. I thought my dad hated Morrissey, but it seems he adored him, which stoned me for six actually.

And a Merry Christmas to you too Bobbi. Hope Santa brings you all the tunes you want. Looking forward to some top recommendations from you in 2013.

Good job they had the Olympics in Stratford, those Spice taxis would never have gone south of the river.......

Good isn't it? I like Velvets one too. As for little square, I resisted for a while but the adverts drove me mad. I figured subscription was cheaper than anger management classes. Did you see the Closing Ceremony? I thought the first half hour was like musical sushi with everyone trundling round the track like that. I assume they picked the acts based on whether they got travel sickness or not.

It's this one http://www.last.fm/music/Pavement/_/Date%2520With%2520IKEA?ac=date%20with%20ikea, though in typical Pavement fashion, lyrics have little to nothing to do with the title. (lone coyote howls in the distance at the sound of dropping pins)

I haven't had a shout since August. You haven't had one since July. It's a Shout Drought. PS - so now that's two songs I know with IKEA in the title....

And before you get to the news agent, I meant Uncut rather than Mojo (it's the one with Rog Daltrey on the cover)

I bet that dachshund is relieved to be off that turntable at last. Good reminiscence from Alice Cooper about his appearance on The Muppets in this month's Mojo magazine by the way, the gist being that you find yourself chatting to Kermit et al like any other actor hanging out on the set.

Hey Bobster, haven't seen you on here in a while. Has the heat driven you in? And is that Rotary Connection covering one of my fave Cream songs? I can imagine how it goes.

I see you've passed another milestone. The 50k is in sight. PS - I've just realised that if I turn the volume up on my computer, I can hear music playing. This adds a whole new dimension of enjoyment to my watching the Lastfm counter going round. Happy Easter.

I once knew the Welsh for No Caravans, but alas I've forgotten even that. I passed 25k scrobbles this evening. Was tempted to call it quits on a round number but couldn't resist continuing.

Hello Miss Flekman. I've just finished reading 'The Secret History' by Donna Tartt.630 pages in less than 5 days. And I would just like to thank you for merely mentioning it, almost 18 months ago on here (ironically two weeks ago I read Augusten Burroughs as well, didn't even notice you mentioned him until I did a shoutbox search, I liked 'Running With Scissors' too). I dunno if I can ever list a proper top 10 list of my favourite books, but if I did, that one would be there.

Ah, now I see what the Mix is. Not bad but hardly puts the subscriber in control does it? Mind you, as I've said before, the best thing about Lastfm is the friends.... As long as they don't take them away.....

I know what you mean. Lastfm improvements tend to be a bit like London Underground ones - due to improvement works there will be no trains this weekend. Unless I'm missing some kind of RSS feed, they also provide no updates for subscribers, you have to go and look for them. So I haven't even heard of The Mix, I'm afraid. See, you've got me sounding like a moany old git now :) Lastfm improvements aside, all is well and I'm looking forward to my extra hour tomorrow.

Hi there, hope you're having a good weekend. I've just caught up on the impending Lastfm changes. Funnily enough they're inspiring me to listen to my playlists, which I'd otherwise rarely do.
