Yeah, I love that movie! :) Right now I'm slowly watching the entire series of Carnivale, it's pretty cool so far (only at episode 4). Check it out- http://www.hbo.com/carnivale/.

I've finally been checking out some PJ Harvey at your recommendation. I've been digging it.

Good call on going to see White Denim. I really dug them when they played here. I ended up drinking beer with their guitarist/singer after their set and missing Tapes n' Tapes entirely. Ladytron rocked the freakin' house. Amazing show.

I missed Datarock. :( I was so bummed. They actually started on time. We weren't there much later, but we had to wait in a long ticket line, so we didn't make it in until 40 minutes after the doors opened, but I really wasn't worried b/c I've rarely heard of a band starting on time. The Ladytron merch guy said that the Ladytron tour manager is really strict, so they have to stick to the schedule. I don't know why though cause the girls in Ladytron said that they weren't getting on the bus 'til 3am & wanted to know what bar to hang out at after the show. Ladytron was awesome though. They had great lights too...like being at a dance club. It was a lot of fun. And since their show ended early in the night, we were able to go to the Earl & see Shearwater. They were amazing! I highly recommend seeing them when they tour your way.

The Jazz bar sounds great! How was Cat Power? She's going to be here on Sunday although I wasn't planning on seeing her this time round. Tonight is Datarock! :P hehe And Ladytron although I don't really know their music. Everyone has been giving me a hard time about only referring to tonight's show as the Datarock show since everyone else is all about Ladytron.

A jazz or blues gig sounds good for our one non-planned music night. Glad Tapes 'n Tapes were better over there. I've seen Land of Talk once (sort of)...it was my infamous puking @ the Earl from margarita sickness night (it's contagious...better watch out!), so I only saw them play a couple of songs. Anyhoo...Sarah & I went to see the Rolling Stones movie, Shine a Light, tonight. We actually got to see it at the same theatre that Tom Waits will be playing in - The Fox. It's a really nice stage theatre, so seeing a movie there is really neat. Since it is a huge stage/concert theatre, everyone clapped & screamed after every song just like at a live show...it was awesome! And "Champagne & Reefer" w/ blues legend Buddy Guy was amazing! Sarah & I really just went to see Jack White on the big screen though. Go fig, right? ;)
