I should know the complete Dredg's discography but even so this album sounds great to me.

I don't get how it is claimed this album is simple. This is by far the most varied dredg album, which definitely makes it demanding. One should not kid oneself either. I would hardly say dredg is making music nearly as complicated as Meshuggah or something, or simply Tool for that sake. If anything, El Cielo has a much more minimalist, slower tempo sound than this album. What hits me with that album is the sheer beauty of it, hardly the complexity. Love both albums.

this one is too political.... it kills any personal touch and it kills the epic musical wideness of dredg's previous albums... such a pity because I love "leitmotif", "el clielo" and the majority of the tracks from "catch without arms". where are the deep feelings that made me get addicted to "el cielo"? where did they leave their capability of creating PERSONAL music?

I really fucking love this album, blew me away immediately which has happened maybe three times in the years since I started listening to music properly. Just stunning.

I liked this much more quickly than Catch Without Arms - I especially like how they differentiated each song a lot more clearly with this album. I don't think this one can get more perfect. If it takes another 4 years for them to create something of this quality, I can accept that.

This album is a bit hammy, innit? Not awful, but I have to say, something of a disappointment. It's mostly the lyrics that are disagreeing with me, not the music.

i really hope that their next album doesn't follow the same trend as this one though..... a slightly darker theme to it would be a different feeling to most of the fans.. ( i don't dislike this album ) it's just, i prefer progressive rock a bit more.... ( this one being slightly more towards the alternative side if you ask me ) oh well...... :)

They broke up after el cielo...CWA is good but can never reach el cielo or leitmotif (by the way a masterwork, according to Pink Floyd)...TP,TP,TD is just a sell out

Their lyrics are quite ugh occasionally, though, couldn't help but laugh at the "allow me to be your sponge"-thing, I mean, excuse me.

At first I thought it was allright. Then I loved it. Suddenly I grew tired of it and hated it for a while. Now I think I love it again.
