It's amazing how the production, composition and arrangement of this song is so complex yet the end product sounds so simple and clear and approachable... Really really incredible stuff

Brian Wilson made God Only Knows in 1966. And all music after is just a neat bonus, really

It's God Only Knows. By the Beach Boys. What else needs to be said? Music has been playing catch-up ever since the day it was put unto tape. If there is a God, we can rest easy knowing Carl Wilson's angelic vocals reached Him in heaven.

This song is beyond the point of any words doing it justice, really. All I can say is when you listen to the acapella mix, it is just as chilling and mind blowing as the album cut, what a testament to this composition, a pillar of popular music.

boogie nights anyone? This is where I heard this song for the first time. out of a looooooooooooooooots. Thanx PTA. Wish it was longer. It's only 3 minutes long, but there is so much going on, god! Even this tapping an empty can of coke, are u serious? My favorite moment is this flute pieces beginning at 1:45 till 1:51, just a god's touch. Gooosebumps everytime here.

I get literal goosebumps hearing this song, I can't even imagine how Brian Wilson felt when it came to him and put it down...

Right? I always wonder how it feels to be able to write something as otherwordly as this or like "Eleanor Rigby". Do they know in that moment exactly how important their work is? And how it will affect other people?

Great memories of the Sixties. This was the time for real good music. "The Path" let me remember this again. Thx. ;-))
