Biography

Frederick Streithorst, Jr., (born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on June 17th, 1974) is the original drummer for Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids. Formerly known by his performing name, “Sara Lee Lucas”, (he now is known to go by “S.L. Lucas” or simply, “Lucas”), his alias was derived from American serial killer Henry Lee Lucas and the baked goods company, Sara Lee. Since leaving Marilyn Manson in 1995, he has gone on to perform in many other bands and is known for his signature -style of drumming, the defining sound of the early Marilyn Manson material, as well as his involvement with experimental digital percussion. Presently, Lucas is active with his prestigious mastering company, Masterlab.

Prior to joining Marilyn Manson, he drummed for local South Florida bands 333 Lunatic Lane, Black Janet, and India Loves You, the latter with future Manson band-mate Scott Mitchell Putesky, A.K.A., Daisy Berkowitz. After leaving Marilyn Manson, he continued to perform under the name "Sara Lee Lucas," playing for bands Electro-Shock Therapy, Kuzmark, and Nocturne.

With Marilyn Manson, Lucas wrote and played on the album Portrait of an American Family (produced by Trent Reznor and Alan Moulder). He also contributed material and is credited in Smells Like Children and Antichrist Superstar. He toured on both the Self Destruct tour with Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson's head-lining club tour in 1995. He quit the band following the tour, and, along with the other former Spooky Kids, sued Brian Warner for his unpaid royalties, settling in 1998.

Lucas and partner Trace started an industrial// project called Electroshock Therapy in 1996. With a catalog of over a thousand tracks and a contract with Red Entertainment, they continue to write and record tracks as well as s.

Lucas performed with Dallas, Texas-based rock band Nocturne on their short headlining tour in 2002.

In November of that year, Trace and Lucas were asked to perform with Orlando, Florida, industrial performance-based band Ambionica, and Lucas later started a recording project called Kuzmark with the singer. They performed a series of shows in South Florida in 2003.

Lucas and Trace founded their company Masterlab in 1996. Head of the CD and DVD manufacturing and graphic design departments of the Orlando, Florida, audio mastering facility, Lucas and Trace have mastered several platinum tracks for artists including Khia, Mary J. Blige, Mandy Moore, 69 Boyz, and Robert Palmer. With more than 35 million R.I.A.A.-certified record sales, Trace and Lucas pride themselves for their state-of-the art facilities and clientele. As of November 2009, Trace and Lucas are producing a television series for PBS, called SoundScapes, which is to debut in 2010.

In January 2009, it was reported that Marilyn Manson wanted to contact Lucas, in regards to the former's lawsuits involving Stephen Bier (ex-Manson keyboardist Madonna Wayne Gacy).

In addition to his work with Masterlab, Lucas continues to perform as recently as August 2009 for a tribute to his ex-Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids band-mate and friend Brad Stewart, A.K.A., Gidget Gein, at L.A.'s infamous Viper Room.
