This 2001 CD release was the band's first on Manchester label Soviet Union. The EP was recorded at The Works in Stockport and produced by AMPLIFIER's Sel Balamir.
The first (2001) pressing was limited to 1000 copies. This was issued with a shrink wrapped wallet sleeve, complete with a double sided card insert containing the credits and additional artwork by sleeve designer and artist Tash Wilcocks.
A second pressing later that year of 1000 copies came without shrink wrapping and contained a single sided insert.
Both editions were given national distribution, with a large proportion sold directly by the band at subsequent promotional gigs and tours.
Soviet Union promoted the release, passing a copy to a long term contact at In The City (where the band appeared at the label's live arm - Chairsmissing) ; This led directly to their sponsored appearance at the following years SXSW Festival.
During the label's promotional tour for the EP, Beggars Banquet secretly travelled up to see the band play in Leeds - this eventually led to a recording contract.
The EP sold out around about the time of their first release with Beggars Banquet.
