This song pisses all over Lynyrd Skynyrd's entire discography. Fuck 'em. Badass guitar, badass lyrics.

Nobody seems to appreciate honestly, even Lynyrd Skynyrd, go figure. I'd pick this over Sweet Home, a song that is pretty much a blind celebration of southern pride while ignoring the evil parts of their culture. It's their lack of remorse and conscious that really irks me.[2]

A unique style all his own. I've been listening to the same Neil tunes for years and never get bored of them...

Great song, but the version from [album artist=Neil Young]Journey Through the Past[/album] blows the original out of the water.

You have to cut Lynyrd Skynyrd some slack, see the songfacts for Sweet Home Alabama: http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=1702 especially "The feud between Lynyrd Skynyrd and Neil Young was always good-natured fun; they were actually big fans of each other. Ronnie Van Zant often wore Neil Young T-shirts on stage and is wearing one on the cover of Street Survivors, the last Skynyrd album before his death."
