I’ve been on Spotify since October 2022 and none of her albums have been on there since I joined.

yeah most of her stuff is gone but some of the singles are still on there (both sides now, big yellow taxi, case of you), along with some live recordings

There's so much to love about this song, from the catchy guitar hooks, to Jaco's lively fluid bassline, to the philosophical lyrics set to that fun jumpy melody... Thank you Joni for sharing your genius with us.

Wow, I've heard of this song on the fantastic Rolling Thunder Revue film. What an amazing track, I love the way it sounds dissonant, yet so right.

There’s no comprehending just how close to the bone and the skin and the eyes and the lips you can get, and still feel so alone. [2]

Man, "A prisoner of the white lines of the freeways..." Mind blowing. Reminds of a trip I made, driving a car all the way from the Bay Area to Newark. Almost seven days on the road, in the beginning of the 80ies, only 55 mph were allowed then. Heard that song nearlt twenty times a day on the car's tape recorder then, wow !! Jaco's bass line is one of a kind. Saw him and Joni a year later in SF. Joni, thanx for this great song ! Ghanamann

Beautiful. I saw her band with most of this lineup with Jaco on bass, Michael Brecker. As I recall, even Pat Metheny was on guitar. A lot of strong personalities!

one of my favorite songs - the guitar playing is just sublime, it's like being transported into the '70s on a sweltering hot day in some blistering highway...

Few songwriters have the combination of melodic genius and poetic dexterity that is on display here from Joni Mitchell! Oh, that we had more who were even close to being in her league!
