Love how she started incorporating Jazz sensibilities into her music with this album. Really sowing the seeds for even greater brilliance.

Her jazz sensibilities actually slightly started on Ladies of the Canyon and even more so on For the Roses. They reached a new height on Court and Spark and come Hissing, she was a new artist- never to look back!

This and For The Roses are my go-to Joni albums. Court and Spark, however, is great for the car and when I wanna let my friends hear Joni. I’d go the extra mile and say that this record is quintessential Joni. Most people would say Blue, but Joni fans know this is probably the best representation of Joni as it has that perfect balance of her early folk elements but also ushering in her jazz influences to the forefront. Help Me is one of the best pop songs ever written. How it didn’t go #1 (and also being Joni’s only top 10 hit) is beyond me. I just love this album to bits and if it was possible to inject albums into my bloodstream, Court and Spark would be the one!

Just listened to this album for the first time today and deadass played the whole thing seven times in a row. Never done that with an album before

I'm addicted to this record. People's Parties flowing into Same Situation is pure perfection!

God I am in love with this album. It's starting to overtake Blue as my favorite Joni album.

This is the very first record album I ever bought by myself. 1972, from a local variety store! I played it almost non stop for close to 4 years and anyone that wanted to be my friend also had to love it. 38 years later it remains my late night listen. It changed they way I listen to music forever.

And this album is hitting me so hard right now. The essence of uncertain love, the yearning and the slight madness that comes along with it.

I pretty much wore this album out in college in the 70s, and I still never tire of listening to it now. "Help Me." Classic.

Is it her best album? Most people say Blue or Hejira, but I dunno...something came together so perfectly on Court & Spark that she never really emulated prior or after.

Perfection. The melodies are just immaculate. The sound is just perfect - the production is absolutely astounding and Joni is on high.

Incredible, incredible album. One of the most perfect, seamless and awesome albums I've ever had the pleasure to hear. I'm ecstatic that I discovered this when I was just 18, leaving decades and decades to listen to it over and over again.
