Little Shop of Horrors is a horror rock comedy musical. The story follows an ordinary florist who is unsatisfied with his life. However, one day he comes across a mysterious plant, that talks and feeds on blood and flesh.
The musical is set in Skid Row, Los Angeles in the 1960s. The music incorporates 60s style doo-wop music, which was a popular music style in America during the time.
The musical is loosely based off a comedy movie from 1960 called ‘The Little Shop of Horrors’. This version of the musical is a newer Off-Broadway revival. The first performance of the musical premiered Off-Off-Broadway in 1982.
