When I was 16 and this came out, I actually really liked it. Satellite Years was more my cup of tea, but I liked both equally for different reasons. Now listening to it back at the ripe and depressing age of 34, I think.... yeah, what people say is correct, it's just such a different album and shouldn't ever be under the same band name. It's okay. But I can understand why people just went "wtf" when the "new Hopesfall album!!" came out and it had basically had all the edges and creases smoothed out. A pint of Carlsberg following after a wacky, hoppy, citrussy IPA. Per Sempre Marciamo is an absolute golden star, fine gem of a track though.

Honestly even just a bit of a crispier distorted sound and some scream vocals and I'd rate it a lot higher. Imagine if they re-recorded the album with the same style and sound as TSY. I think I would quite literally piss and cum everywhere.

I didn't listen to this album for the longest time because I'd heard it was such a drastic step down from The Satellite Years but it's actually... not half bad?? It's kinda post-grunge-y and not as strong conceptually but beyond that it's decent.

I do like A Types, and don't lament the lack of screaming on a lot of songs (it actually suits them). However, it just wasn't as musically interesting as Satellite Years was, which remains one of my favourite records.

It's a brilliant post-hardcore album.. just took me a while to accept the change at the time. Now I love it for what it is.

I'd say Jay's vocals are at his best on this album, but osme of the songs are a bit sleepy, and yeah it's a bit too basic.

Nah, so many Hopesfall fans hate it, it lacks the variety and spacey feel the rest of thier stuff does, but it's just a totally different direction for them, it's unique in the subtler ways and it also progresssively gets very dark. I can understand that people hated it because it was far from thier expectations though. Still one of my favourite albums ever though. Amazing.

http://www.last.fm/music/Everything+And+Nothing I think fans of this album may like this band so check it out ...if you like. And yes, A-Types is a damn fine album with strangely not enough good feedback by the looks of things :OP
