First album I've heard from Genesis (and one of the first prog albums I've genuinely listened to). Not a single miss on this album, absolutely phenomenal (why have I missed out on this my entire life??)

The Return Of The Giant Hogweed (For Absent Friends, Harrold the Barrel и Harlequin) органично вписаны и не кажутся лишними. Dancing of The Moonlit Knight и Firth of Fifth и всё, по-моему.

I love this one. Everybody goes tits for Foxtrot and Selling England by the Pound (and rightly so, as they're both amazing albums) but this one deserves a lot of love, too. "The Musical Box" may very well be my favorite Genesis track. They were good before this (mark me down as a guy who thinks From Genesis to Revelation is much better than its reputation and a guy who thinks Trespass is a classic) but this is where they reached the stratosphere and rattled off four godlike albums in a row.

My favorite after Foxtrot and The Lamb (which are 2 of my favorite albums ever). A marathon of goosebumps. ♥

I'd be tempted to say this is their best just for The Musical Box and Seven Stones.

the best album ever released. It has humour, scope, tour de force, beautiful voicecraft, folk, incredible songwriting and the best song ever written a.k.a. Harold the Barrel, Seven Stones, The Return of the Giant Hogweed, Harlequin, For Absent Friends, The Fountain of Salmacis and of course the musical box. Pure Genius

Musical Box is perfect song. It's my favourite of this album. Entire album is very good, but this is second in my hierarchy! I love Trespass <3

How come the excellent original "Return of the Giant Hogweed" from the album has been replaced with a later Live version? What happened to the album track? This version is OK (for a live version) but I miss the album track

Loved this album from the first moment I found someone's copied but unmarked tape of it back in the mid '80s. At that time I pretty much hated Genesis and Phil Collins, but I loved this sound and atmosphere. I was shocked to learn the truth, but big enough to admit I now liked OLD Genesis (well, as old as me as it happens)

Have you ever heard Peter tell the story of "Little Cynthia and Little Harold"? They feature on the cover of Nursery Cryme in the surrealist artwork of Paul Whitehead. Read what Paul has to say about visualising the lyrics of Gabrielesque Genesis - (2008) BACK AFTER 36 YEARS - Anyone want to guess who designed the artwork and tour merchandise for the 2007 Genesis tour? None other than original Nursery Cryme/Foxtrot/Trespass artist Paul Whitehead. Interview and photos: http://madaboutasia.blogspot.com/2008/09/paul-whitehead-turns-it-on-again-for.html
