On April 25th, 2006, a mine collapsed in Beaconsfield, Tasmania, Australia. There were three miners who did not make it out with the rest. One, Larry Knight, was killed. The other two, Todd Russell and Brant Webb, were trapped in a cage nearly a kilometre below the surface. After it was discovered that these two were alive, contrary to early fears, they were sent food and water, and amongst other things, mp3 players to listen to while the rescue took place.
