This “acoustic” Tag, IMO, is basically a lovely collection of relaxing beautiful music. Mostly based on acoustic guitars ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acoustic_guitar ) although not necessarily needed, this music is w/out any electronic based effects. This gives it a much more “home” feeling type of music as well as very emotional because it makes every instrument come out in it’s natural sounds - no one instrument overpowers another because of loud electronic effects taking over.

Many MTV shows have brought this type of ‘scene’ to public notice. ( “Unplugged” )
