"My Number" is a song by British rock band Foals, released as the second single from their third studio album Holy Fire. The song debuted live on 13 November 2012 during the band's performance on Later… with Jools Holland. A month later to the date, they debuted the album version on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show on 13 December, then posted it via their YouTube page later the same day. A few days later, the single was released digitally in Australia on 17 December 2012. The music video premiered on 23 January 2013.

Though charmingly reverent of Bono-associated ‘80s pop-rock acts like Men at Work or Big Country, it still sounds like Foals, no mean feat considering how many bands have come along in the past couple of years that sound like them– it’s an athletic funk-rock sprint of interlocking, clean guitars, Yannis Philappakis’ strident melodies and a rhythm section that knows better than to disturb this groove with their typical turn-on-a-dime trickery.

It’s also Foals speaking the language of pure pop: cooing oohs, placing the hook right at the beginning, and cycling back to it as often as possible with an instantly catchy lyrical refrain that maintains the dejected emotional core of "My Number" amidst the joyous release that surrounds it. Unforgettable fire, if you will.

The song reached number 23 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming their highest charting single to date. It is also the band's most successful single to date worldwide.
