They have played Nebraska songs live a lot yes, especially Atlantic City, Open All Night, Johnny 99. They also attempted many times to record the album as a full band and nobody was happy with the results - there is a very good book about it if you are interested: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/647205/deliver-me-from-nowhere-by-warren-zanes/

for real LOL also Bruce has more talent in one of his toenails than that creepy bitch has in his whole entire body and that's that on that !

Only time I've every agreed with Pitchfork tbh. 100% 10/10 album right here. Divine, transcendental, a beautiful and bleak picture of the darker side of American life.

Always remember fuck the critics. Not only are they pretentious fuckwits but they're often receiving donations to say certain shit. Always trust your own ears. What sounds good or bad to you might sound completely different to someone else...

The first time I listened to this I mostly hated it. Now it's my go-to Springsteen album without a doubt. I even bought a cover album of this where different artists sing every song on the album which I also highly recommend. I don't have any other album in my collecting where I can say that about.

Strange how many people in this shout box don't like his other stuff. I personally enjoy it all, but I can sort of understand how most listeners of this album wouldn't like a high-glossed rock album.

Yeah if you like this there is a good chance you like his other stuff, but comparing Used Car to Born to Run is an insane difference that I understand

Incredible album. Just.... amazing. Forces me to wander in solitude to listen to it with full commitment.

My relationship to the Boss is so torn. I can't help but laugh at his "rock"-stuff but love everything he does when he just picks up a guitar and sings. "The ghost of Tom Joad" and this are some of my favorites ever.

I like it a lot. Bought "The Ghost Of Tom Joad" some time ago and they might tie though.

Wow. Never much cared for Bruce, but this? This is good. Really, really good.

I'd agree that it's the darkest, but I'd say the most personal Bruce album is Tunnel of Love, since it was about issues that were relevant to him and his life at the time. Most of the songs on this album are third-person stories about social ills, not about his personal life.
