This is definitely a standout. I'm kind of disappointed he makes no mention of Hemingway, though.

I'm pretty sure it's about being in the state of mind of Key West. 'One Human Family' combined with it's paradisiacal landscape. Very political as it seems :) I highly doubt that it's just another highlands. Remember that he enters all kinds of intellectual property as a philosopher pirate in his art. He sets sail from the US to bring wisdom to his own country and Key West is his harbor both physical and spiritual. Look at his paintings and you'll see his adoration of the beauty of his home. Give us a little bit of hope, Bob!

God. Dylan is still the king. Got to be some of his most affecting imagery and storytelling since Black Diamond Bay, or maybe Brownsville Girl. And who expected him to pull that out in 2020?

One that stood out from the first listen. I'm not sure why. Perhaps the imagery that characterises Key West as a living organism. Very Steinbeck-esque.
