I liked the idea of a small owl wearing Jayne Cobb's hat ... ... figured it's as good an avatar as any <shrug> XD

I know, I know: about time I showed up here. It's taken me this long to commit to a player! XD

Nice taste. I love "I'll be around" too. I really like the new EotS album, it feels like they really refined their sound from the debut, which, while it had a handful of amazing tracks, I felt was a bit patchy overall.

I really wish the universe had scrobbling ability. I've listened to Mint Julep's Invisible Waves as well as Joanna Newsom's Sawdust & Diamonds as well as a bunch of other tracks a whole lot more than just at my PC. I do try to playlist overnight sometimes but most tracks are still below where they should be.

You saw me rolling my eyes? No, that was me looking skyward, thanking the gods that there's another grown man that has a soft spot for Belinda Carlisle. You actually listen to a bit of stuff that I do, and I love finding new stuff anyways

I can't believe I took so long to buy Junior Boys' 2009 album Begone Dull Care. Quite some time ago I bought Ewan Pearsons' extended disco edit of Hazel and opened Summer Nights 2009 with it, but for whatever reason I never pursued the band. Begone Dull Care is an album I fell in love with more and more as each new track sounded out for the first time on my very first listen-through and it's only been getting better the more I play it. Late getting there as usual, but nonetheless get there I did.

Twitter has established some odd habits, mainly of using public spaces to keep my own notes. That and single spacing after stops. In any case, here I will remark that I have subscribed to last.fm even though I likely won't use the streaming service. Even without the absolutely amazing features subscribers get, the free service of database keeping is amazing enough, and these things cost someone. Here to show my appreciation for keeping my data all this time and providing me with a wonderful, powerful tool all these years. Things just change. I subscribed to Open Diary a while back, and now last.fm. I just believe in people receiving something for what they've done for me. It's greatly appreciated.

Yes you have precipitated a Justin Timberlake revival in my playlists. I've currently gone all synth recently with my charts. Hurts and Annie's latest are bloody amazing stuff.

Have to say though; I've not felt the kind of euphoria Glee's version evokes since spending an entire summer listening to Fred Falke's remix of Kish Mauve's Lose Control and building a compilation around it. Regardless of Glee's many and often frustrating flaws, one thing it often nails right is the air of enthusiasm and celebration of joy. As a writer and musician, I can fly with that.
