Ok I just did and it made me feel raped. (guess i'm more of a songs-about-boys-having-inappropriate-relationships-with-suicidal-male-teachers-who-make-tapes-of-joy-division-kind-of-guy/gurl). btw, how is london coping without me? they're closing all the venues now I'm gone, so it seems.

I've changed my mind. It's not the punctuation that's the problem (though that is *a* problem - I get very angry when last.fm corrects my "That Dog" songs to "that dog." I DID NOT CONSENT TO THIS), it's more twee/indiepop bands that have more than 7 members that are the problem. I'm not saying it's always bad, but it usually is. I blame Architecture in Helsinki. So much promise, so little delivery (and I always liked the Smallgoods better, so that's a whole extra level of pain they caused me). Editing. It's a good thing.

hah, it's cool. i speak fluent french and can assure you that the basics are all found in the genius that is foux de fa fa. plus the videos flipping amazing. everytime i go to a supermarket here i'm tempted to pick things up and start singing. yeah, separation sunday is my favorite too. i love their storylines but boys and girls in america definitely tops for literary references. also, check out the virgins if you have time. they're not really the same style as the hold steady but they make excellent music.

yeah, i dig the new stuff too. you've already seen them live?! i'm fucking jealous. every time they tour, they plan in bars because that's their thing, but half the time, it's 21 and over. france is so much better than the US in that respect. are they big in the uk? because in the us they're really unknown.

There are nights when I think Sal Paradise was right. Boys and Girls in America have such a sad time together. Sucking off each other at the demonstrations Making sure their makeup’s straight Crushing one another with colossal expectations. Dependent, undisciplined, and sleeping late. yeah. i'm trying to see them live this summer. have you listened to the newest stuff yet?

Hrrm. It's just the mixing of ideas... The juvenile toy, and the very adult and serious padlock. Clever.
