Cool - I'll have a think then. I'm also dithering about Tegan & Sara, B52s and Breeders in Manchester. Are you doing any festivals this year? Nothing's standing out to me at the moment and Ross doesn't seem to want to camp...

Hello! Was it really your birthday? If so, happy several-days-belated birthday! I still haven't got my copy. My birthday isn't for another 10 months, so I guess I've got a long wait. That's a shame about the new Minus the Bear... I'll find out whether it sits better with me soon.

I haven't heard NAMES properly yet - still waiting for it to arrive! I know I've heard 3 Hearts at least once live though, and remember loving it. Have they started sending them out yet? I wonder if their JFvE sticker packs will ever make an appearance. Do you have the new(ish) Minus the Bear? I've only heard one track off it so far...

Mostly awesome gigs? That's good news, though I wonder what didn't quite make the cut. I do like the Tall Ships album, though it's not quite what was expecting. The individual songs don't 'hook' me in the way that I'm used to, but I do like them and kinda crave them a bit, and when it's playing it settles nicely into my psyche. Maybe? I don't know. I am pleased though.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Yes it was a great show; I got ever so slightly, er, inebriated... Ha. I'm always in the Civic; Mark Lanegan is my next venture forth. Got to say, its rather stifling today.. I hope you're enjoying your weekend !

'Random shout' from one geek to another. May I also comment on your good taste too- did you enjoy Blur on Monday?

Hey man, do you have any idea where i can find all the albums of the band Muscovy? I can't find it anywhere. I would appreciate that, thanks.

While I appreciate the practicality of having real bookmarks, I prefer the idea of you using whatever's to hand, like combs or parma ham, to keep track of where you are. I'm not implying you work at a meaty hairdresser or anything. Though to be honest, I prefer the idea of that too. HOPE BATTLES IS GOOD, YOU LUCKY.

I try to - I really enjoy it but I'm such a slow reader. I've just started Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut, and I have After Dark by Murakami queued up after that. My problem is my mind wanders every few paragraphs... it's fun, but makes every book last a month. What do you use as a bookmark?

I apologise for my poor spelling - being away from home I'm having to tippity-tap this on my typity-type phone. The keyboard is too small - I need to dictate to a kitten or something.

You're going to see Battles? JEALOUS RAGE. Though I did get to see Three Trapped Tigers - I guess they're a bit Battles-ish. Mr Malkmaus sounded good but due clashes and poor planning I only caught a bit. I'm impressed with your schedule either way. P.S. you're a book geek? What are you reading at the moment?

Hello! How is your mad musical November going? Constellations turned out fab, though I'll be sad to return home tomorrow. Going to finish off the trip with an ill-conceived Slam Dunk night. My muscles are not ready! Hope you've been having a great time!

Well I started writing all these cute twee indie pop songs, and thought I'd make a new pseudonym for it! I'm not sure what I'm going to do teamABC, our drummer moved to manchester, so it's kind've back to solo for me really! With all my travelling about, it's hard to organise band practises, never mind finding a new drummer! so yeah, Stef and the Headphone Adventures! - there's one song to download already at http://stefandtheheadphoneadventures.bandcamp.com ;) aw yeah!

I don't like it as much as I think I will each time I begin listening - it starts off well, especially the opening track which is amazing, then it dwindles off as it goes on and gets samey and less memorable. I want to like it, but find the later songs a bit forgettable :(

Good luck on your choice between Constellations and the Girls show! I'm pretty sure I'll be heading back to Constellations considering how good last year was.

I'm not sure, I'm putting it in my "listen to again" pile. It's pretty, but not grabbing me. Maybe I need to listen to it when I'm not doing anything else.

Pretty much likewise. I was totally lost for words. And it explained so much about the album (even down to the fact it opens with Futile Devices - because 'words are futile devices' so he steps away from 'old' Sufjan into sound artistry) and I loved his little talks (annoying hecklers though). Age of Adz is my favourite Sufjan so the concentration on new material was amazing. Impossible Soul was so Boney M. Also Sufjan is fit as. Totally mad though.

Those tracks are all from his album Return From The Search Party which I bought yesterday... I think he has another one out too. I don't know much about him tbh, only that he used to be in Help She Can't Swim, a band I also know nothing about. I just liked the artwork and the one song I watched on youtube. And it was £2.

Mainly acapella, female folk. Pretty but not earth shattering. I enjoyed them more live than I do on record.

It was wonderful! Just got back from Leeds - I love that city so much, everyone is just so pretty and friendly. I should try to move up there sometime. Tried to mix up the headliners a bit by catching a little of Four Tet and then moving. Thankfully got to Broken Social Scene to see them play Stars and Sons, and then they brought out Johnny Marr! It was a lovely day - I don't think there was anything but smiling faces by the end of it. How was it for you?

I'd love to see Les Savy Fav again - last time was a few years ago in a field of drizzle! I'd really like to see Four Tet and Local Natives, since I haven't seen them before, but I don't think timing will allow. Going to the pre-party tonight and I'm not even packed!

Hey there, thanks for accepting the add request. Obviously goes without saying that your music taste is exceptional. Also quite quite envious that you're going to see Shrag next week - i've just got into them in a big way and am gutted they're not coming up Edinburgh way :D

Thank you - I'll let you know by carrier giraffe as soon as it's ready. You'll even get a complimentary push. It should all be quite safe - there'll be matresses and pillows EVERYWHERE.

Yeah, I don't think we've ever met but everyone seems to know you (both Sheffield friends and Indiepopstars) and HOW CAN I RESIST adding someone with super compatibility?
