BUT DO NOT say *anything* about María Dolores Pradera, because if you give me an inkling that you don't like even a tiny little thing about this Goddess, I will be forced to personally come over to your flat and choke you till you sing along. (*Do I sound like the scary #1 fan I am? ;-))

@himay That reminds me. I mapped out all the grocery stores the very first month I came here and was thrilled that a highly ranked Asian produce store was just over 3 miles away. I set out grocery bag on shoulder, hooked to my mp3 player, crossed a festive bridge only to be told at the other end that I was dangerously close to crossing over illegally into Canada. I had to hotfoot it back. Thus ended my very first grocery trip. I think I was listening to The Kinks.

Symphonic metal is redefined by [artist]Scorpions & Berliner Philharmoniker[/artist] - Nothing can beat their collaborative album [url=http://www.last.fm/music/Scorpions%2B%2526%2BBerliner%2BPhilharmoniker/Moment+of+Glory]Moment of Glory[/url]. It is so pitch-perfect, it gives me goosebumps! Then of course, there are my all-time favourites [artist]Deep Purple[/artist], [artist]Rata Blanca[/artist] and [artist]Rainbow[/artist] - but they are more classic heavy metal that any particular sub-genre. Let me think of more acts and get back...

Hmmm... I am not a big fan of all the industrial/core whatever metal. Was one of "those snobs" who hated Metallica when they decided to change their 80s inspired sound. I am hooked to the oh-so-flamboyant 80s hair-metal big time. So, from that period, I would highly recommend [artist]Running Wild[/artist] and Peavey Wagner's [artist]Rage[/artist] for some power metal. Rage's lead guitarist, Manni Schmidt left to join [artist]Grave Digger[/artist] in 2000 and in 2001 they released their eponymous [url=http://www.last.fm/music/Grave+Digger/The+Grave+Digger]The Grave Digger[/url]. It rocks my socks and maybe muffler off everytime I give it a listen. [artist]Dezperadoz[/artist] is very interesting fusion metal - if you are interested. They have been getting more and more plays on my player (Can't believe I lost it! DAMN this jacket!)

I say your caffeine-less description is pretty persuasive. Hmmmm.... I shudder to think what kind of arm-twisting you are capable of, all caffeinated! Re: Bird. I am sold. Need to check this bloke out. (I think I may have heard one or two tunes by him before but I guess they didn't catch my attention - I am a direct descendent of goldfish). Re: Classical - hahaha, I wonder what you would say if I scrobbled ALL my heavy metal listening. I'll take a shot in the dark. "... makes me want to be a crazy lunatic. A demented headbanging... Wait. That's you! Go away (and Stay away!)" I need to correct the tags on my music - I feel guilty scrobbling random mistagged stuff on here. Its a vicious cycle.
