How you doin'? I've been good! I just got home from Chicago like a week ago and just bought a cheap ass ticket to Portland for the end of August--I'm in definite vacation mode. I'm finally going to see Future Islands in September! Last time they played their own show here they played at a venue that's about three times as small as the one that they'll be playing in September but whatever, I'm not really complaining. Do you listen to Diiv at all? I actually need new recommendations on music; Ive been feeling sort of bored lately!

Nice spot Beanyo. I will let you know my financial situation once the date of the show gets closer. Have you listened to Oberhofer at all? I listened to him over the summer, check out his song "I Could Go," highly recommended. Oh and if you're interested in some new rap, this is a really good mixtape I literally just found, http://www.itsaraprogo.com/?p=2796 Happy listening.

@___@ i figured the wild lifestyle of a soon-to-be engineer would be crazy. full of drugs i'm sure. but i've been alright. just working a whole bunch and taking a semester off from school. i kinda wish i had at least taken one class, but i'm going to be volunteering soon so maybe then i won't feel as useless.

oh, btw. i saw that you added a mt. st. helens vietnam band song to your loved tracks. they were one of my favorite bands that i saw last year. they threw tennis balls against a drum into the crowd at one point!

i'll have to check out more of the reviews, then! and i'd say my favorite song off of eyelid movies is "let me go". but when you give it a good listen you tell me which you like best. (it's all good, though :D) yeah, m83 is so good. i was at work a couple days ago and i was playing "we own the sky" and someone actually commented and recognized it. which shouldn't be so surprising but in the area that i live in, it is.

where are you from? i believe yeasayer was here a few weeks ago and i was SO MAD that i missed them. i think i was working the night they played. i'm pretty jealous you get to see them! and about mliw, before they broke up (was it 2008?) i saw them in 2007 here in the bay area, and then a few months later they announced their split. so i was so greatful that i was able to see them live. what's your favorite track off of phantograms' eyelid movies? (btw, i read your review on your blog, good stuff :) )

Yeah it is, but we all know "Ambling Alp" is better than the two (though "Madder Red" is awesome). And in general, first half of "Odd Blood" > second half of "Odd Blood".

It is a really strange list. I did not expect 9 of the 10 songs to be MGMT and Coldplay, obviously, it seems random when it predictably seems like it would be just some throw-away radio garbage. Apparently, people really dug "Oracular Spectacular" and "Viva La Vida..." this year. Yeah, "Viva la Vida" is okay but it makes sense that the big single would be #1 above the rest of the CD. On a side note, Katy Perry needs to politely retire.

'Ey! Steve! I dunno why you told me to check that out lol. Is it because Katy Perry's God-awful song is on there? Or is it because every other freakin' song is MGMT or Coldplay?
