Hey mate! Came across Worry completely by accident. Was listening to Carbon based Lifeforms again, then found they did a remix of Worry, I'd never heard of it but was completely blown away the first time I listened to it. As for other Not Lars material, I know absolutely nothing about him other than that he is Swedish, only two tracks on Spotify and no info on last.fm. Seeing as Worry was late 2012 though, I think it's safe to assume we can keep our eye on him and expect some more.

Out of everything I've listened to that is 'new' recently, this is probably the main thing that stands out to me. The artist is Dan Le Sac and the song is 'Long Night of Life', this is the video I first heard it on. Feels quite fresh compared to most stuff I've been listening to recently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMafgPR7XXg&feature=player_embedded

Nothing has hit me as amazing recently, but I think I've been looking for older albums from existing artists I like rather than looking for completely new stuff. Reckon I'll have to hit the Last.fm radio feature again and see if anything new comes from that. Did you listen to Amon Tobin? I recall you saying you were looking at some of his albums a while back?

Visiting Mr.Purples Page (As I do, looking for new artists) see 'Holy Other's Photo and think "I bet myself 1 pound sterling that this artist sounds something akin to Burial and Nocow'. All I can say is; 'Bugger me sideways! That's amazing!' It sounds so familiar, but so new and fresh!

My last post today (I promise), just found these two; Photek was apparently more into house and drum n' bass but this is a recent song from him, fit's in nicely with Burial/Clubroot although the droney bassline in the background seems more melodic than the norm from clubroot and Burial. One to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pvTtzVnJ8k This second one is just badass as hell (I keep expecting Snoop Dogg to start rapping over it though). I listened to some more of Kromestar's stuff and this is easily his strongest track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfgaNceIo00

Oh, and to answer your question (got carried away thinking about Hyperdub in the last post, sorry), the ill.gates album that song is off is pretty decent ('The ill.Methadology'). It goes back and forth between Dubstep and more glitchy stuff and features a lot of collaborations, on the whole it leans more towards the glitch side. Other notible songs: 'Pick it up' - Has a strong dubstep feel but it feels a bit more refined and less 'raw' than a lot of dubstep. 'Decoy' - uses some samples of strings and sounds pretty badass. I've had a quick listen to 'Mimosa' on their own and they seem far more glitchy than il.gates, but (to be blunt) not as good.

Here's a metaphor for you: Imagine katatonia were a lake... I've dipped my arm in far enough to get a feel, it's fairly pleasant and I'd happily dive in, I'll listen to this album and hopefully spend more time diving to the depths. Now the worlds worst metaphor is over... Emika and ill.Gates have provided something to listen to recently but nothing overly substantial, I'm in a mood were I really want to find something new and amazing. I've been following Kode9 (Owner of Hyperdub) recently, although his own music isn't earth shattering, he does a radio show/podcast thing which you can download for free and are about an hour and a half of gritty dark, grime, dub and drum n' bass. I've found a couple of good songs though those. 'DJ Kicks' albums are a good place to find new stuff, I'll share this song, not sure if you'll like it as it's a bit different to what I'd usually send you, I love it when it gets going: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVCNb73ALAw

Ok, I've come to a conclusion of how I would rank the Bloc Party albums; 1) 'Slient Alarm' - (Hearing the start of Banquet takes me back to when I was 15 hearing it for the first time). 2) 'Four' - Some awesome tracks, especially 'We are not good people' which has a real Queens of the Stone Age feel. 3) 'Intamacy' - You were right about Zephyrus, really good track. I love the beat to Talons in the chorus as well. 4) 'A Weekend in the City' - it never really impressed me when it came out, had a couple of good tracks but as an album it left me dissappointed.

Have you heard of 'Emika'? I found her by accident tonight and her self titled album is amazing. The cover artwork makes her look like just another pop star, but she's made some incredibly deep, dark electro/dubstep. Female vocals with some ace beats and low bass lines, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS8ncvHVojI

I'm not really sure if there is a best place to start, each album shows a great cross-section of what he's capable of, I'd say pick one at random and give it a go. My favourites are Supermodified and Permitation. I would have said that ISAM was my favourite, but I saw him Live on the ISAM tour a couple of months ago and he played better versions of all the songs, so in a sense the album has been slightly ruined for me, If he was to release an album of the show, then that would be best hands down. When he played live the final part of the set was insane, loads of drum n' bass n' stuff. One of the shows was steamed on youtube, this is the link to the drum n' bass part, go to 14 minutes and turn it up. It was one of the most awesome thing's I've ever experienced when i saw him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAFkSfzP868

Cheers buddy! Graduated from university, looking to get into the games industry. Most of the jobs floating about at the moment are programmer based which is unfortunate as I'll be trying to get into the art side. I have a couple of small game projects lined up with a few fellow graduates, so hopefully I'll soon be able to say a game I worked on is for sale. My dream job would be a vehicle artist, but I'm just as happy at the moment making environments and props. It's gonna be competitive but I just need a good portfolio of work. I've never actually watched Skins, so I can't comment :p

The Well is a brilliant track, the vocals have a real Burial vibe to them. I quite like Ghost(s) as well, the bass is awesome in that track. I probably got the Milwaukee thing confused with the amount of people I see on various game website from there, I've just graduated and started looking for jobs so everything else has kind of amalgamated into one big lump in my mind, probably explains why I haven't found anything new and amazing music wise recently. I remember I was listening to Lorn alot whilst playing GT5, the movie to the credits is filmed on a car driving through Tokyo and around the Nurburgring and Lorn fitted it beautifully (I think the actual soundtrack was some classical music). I've been getting back into Scuba recently, finding the odd song from a few years back, Have you heard this tone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF6PuBMPcDQ I love the vocals they are so smooth and liquid.

I had no idea Lorn had another album out, 'Weigh Me Down' is amazing, it sounds so powerful! When the beat first properly kicks in it's like being punched in the face. Cheers for the recommendation! I gave Stumbleine a quick listen earlier, 'Ghosting' is the only album on Spotify. It was relaxing, but I don't think I'm really in that much of a laid back phase at the moment, I've bookmarked it though as it'll probably be something I can get into when I'm ready. Milwaukee has a load of great artists right? I can only name Lorn and Lights Out Asia at the moment though, I'm sure I've come across a lot of artists from there, I'm pretty tired at the moment so can't remember many!

I think It's safe to say Burial will be quiet for the next few months, 3 tracks a year is a good average for him! :p I love this Burial track, even though it's not finished, From what I've read it was only a teaser for a song that was never released, so most versions of it on youtube are edited to make full tracks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag7kvooM85I You've just reminded me of Lorn, I haven't listened to him in a while. He was on a game soundtrack, I know he's on GT5 but I'm sure there was something else he was on that made me want to hear more. Never heard of Stumbeline, I'll have to check that out...

Hey man, I keep meaning to get back in contact, sorry about that. I've been the same music wise, I've been getting back into House music, and going through a load of playlists for stuff like GTA games to see if anything new grabs my attention with any new artists to explore. Have you heard the latest Bloc party song? It's gradually growing on me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkeUFRK4i7w
