Haven’t heard Odonis, will have to check em. Something recent I liked was Darkwing, beautiful stuff.

Thanks man! You too, very diverse charts. I saw Darto play recently and was instantly hooked -- they have a huge sound for a trio. The new CEG album is also good, but I'm going to ruminate on it a bit longer before I draw any conclusions. You might like these bands: Ivadell (https://ivadellband.bandcamp.com/) Nest (https://thenest.bandcamp.com/)

Haha I hope you enjoyed Pink City! That was me and a guy I met online from America. We have a new one coming out this year hopefully. (our original aim was about two years ago). Checked out Hawks, wasn't massively into it, but I will be checking out the other stuff you recommended soon. Thanks!

Best thing I've heard all year apart from Protomartyr is Good Throb's LP 'Fuck Off' (kind of an anarcho punk thing going on, but just really awesome) and the new Nightingales LP (although good luck finding mp3s of that). Also my band has a new single coming out you may want to stream here (cheeky plug!): http://newcowboybuilders.bandcamp.com/ Hope you like!

Thanks man! You have a great taste too, and yeah I'm digging the new Animal Lover, although at the moment I think I prefer their last twelve inch.

Excited too man, by all accounts looks like it's gonna be epic. Think Stickles and Titus are at their best when going all-out, so I'm very optimistic. The indie world needs them to be on that level. Just up to the same as usual down here, working and writing occasionally when I can. How's the radio show going?

Stumbled across this Stickles interview Friday man, thought you might enjoy it. Definitely one of the most fascinating people in pop music right now. http://www.stereogum.com/1531621/titus-andronicus-frontman-patrick-stickles-is-washed-up-and-he-knows-it/franchises/interview/

Hey man thanks for dropping me a message, I am indeed looking for those demos still. If you wouldn't mind uploading them somewhere that would be great!

it has quite a few interesting and 'moshy' parts, its sound is clean.. it's not as good as darker half imo, but you should definitely check it out!

I totally didn't even realize I already replied to your last shout like a month ago, haha fuck that's embarrassing. either way, I'm not even sure I know of anything you haven't already been made aware of. I don't listen to a lot of chaotic hardcore, and kinda tend to stick with screamo and blackened shit. if you're in the BM mood, I could probably make some recommendations

If you're thinking about bumping Three 6, now would be a good time man. Just did a write-up about Lord Infamous, one of their founding members who passed away yesterday. How's the radio show been going?

It's hard to say if it's good as it depends on your taste and how much of a fan you are. I really like it but I barely listened to it, sadly. So many great new albums in 2013, it's hard to keep track, and my Elliott obsession is making my musical catching-up so much harder. I miss the gaming days too, what'd we play together? Let's revive that period.

hey dude, last I heard they were supposed to be coming out with the new record the previous summer but that has come and gone and no new record.. they released one new track as a teaser and it's pretty good http://youtu.be/rGYix65zZgI . they have a fb and their site is pre-end.com , "current news" says they're still working on it so yea looks like release has been pushed back but I imagine any month now it'll come. btw we're mutually following eachother on tumblr and I didn't even realize hahah

Oh, was that the gig at Suburbia? I read it's a great music venue! I imagine how that would've augmented the experience :'D I started doing some Caravels listening myself cuz the Enemies guys were gushing over them. I'm liking them so far, reminds me of ATDI.

Ack, you saw Enemies live? Which show in the US? I'm so keen to talk about it with somebody. They're amazing right? I envy the NY people, had them for 3 nights! If I were there I'd catch every show. Did you get to talk to them? I wish they'd be back sooner in my neck of the woods.

I've always been puzzled by it too! I think maybe cause the members of Lync never went on to form other bands (that I know of)? I feel like other bands benefit because their legacy gets carried on even past the band's death (e.g. Street Smart Cyclist, Halfway To Holland, Cap'n Jazz).

Of course! That'd be incredible. The closest that tour comes is 200 miles away though. Maybe I can get a group of people to go with me
