Apologies for the delay.. I've been traveling all around the UK and France and finally find myself back home in the states, so it's been a hectic past few weeks. I see you've already gotten into Serge since your post ;). How are you liking his music so far? Also, are you looking for French music in general or the older stuff? I'd recommend France Gall and Claude Francois (the original writer of "My Way" which was called "Comme d'Habitude" which he actually wrote for France Gall) for the 60's/70's. Jacques Brel is also a good one. And Claude Léveillée's "Frédéric" is one of the most beautiful French songs I've heard. Also I hope you've already dabbled in some Edith Piaf; there's nothing quite like listening to her music while in Paris. And if you're interested in some modern singer-songwriter action let me know, or if you're interested in the 80's.. I've got a lot of that too haha =). Also I expect reviews! ;)

Awesome! And I see you've got some Francoise Hardy in there. They're both two of my favorite French musicians, so the fact that they're married and made a love child who's also a musician is just perfect. =). How did you get into Jacques?? I unfortunately don't have any album recs though because I only have his L'Essentiel Dutronc.. however if you want any other French recommendations let me know ;)

Where can I get a listen of the new single? Also, is there any chance of you playing your solo stuff at Leeds this year?

Glad to hear that! Oh yeah, it's incredulous how almost no one here in my country's ever heard of factory Records, such a legendary label... Ah, The Smiths :) Great band, they also have this typical englishness.. And I was just joking, I understand that you're not your own toplistener just because you're very vain ;) Nah, no plans yet actually... I should start making some, haha. And you? xx

Haha. Spotify can do some strange things to my chart. Too much variety is a bad thing!

Hahaha nahhh, I wouldn't be swimming in linen with someone that isn't my partner ;). But damn I wish I was a woman from Wisconsin that he met/wrote a song about, sigh. Perhaps one day I'll meet him and convince him to haha. And yeah I know what you mean about haircuts and risks, but yours looks nice =). I'm thinking of risking getting bangs again, but we'll see!

Yeah I'm impressed as well. I've got a crazy obsession for "The Man's Machine" going. It's always exciting hearing Jamie say "Wisconsin" (where I'm from) in his superb accent. If I was near my computer more I'd have sooo many more plays, but this semester I've been busy as hell unfortunately. Nice new pic btw!

well, besides being able to listen to the songs for free on we7.com, in theory, people can download songs/albums and the money from the download goes to the musician. it works this way: people pay to put announces in the begging of the song, something like 5 or 10 seconds propaganda. then, when listeners purchase the song, the money goes to the musician/band. but I don't know how it really works, 'cause I registered last week and I haven't purchased any song yet. I'd like to know, if you know someone who has already received money from selling songs on we7.com, if it has ever happened to you or, anyway, if you think it's fair, if it's the same as selling a regular album, since the songs on we7.com are priced around 70 cents (from what I've seen so far). in adittion: thanks for your time and for answering me, I've only discovered your music about a week ago and it has really impressed me. good luck :)
