Hey there! Just stopping by to tell you that I love the new Bowie album. I remember having a conversation with you right when The Next Day first came out about how we don't like most of our favorite bands/albums at first. Well here I am 5-6 (I lost track of time) months later telling you that I love that record! I noticed that 'You Feel So Lonely You Could Die' is very reminiscent of 'Rock n Roll Suicide' which one of my favorite Bowie songs. I hope you did too. Have a nice day!

You are not from Budapest then. Well, the taste thing is intriguing. Only a few people, isolated, start to like some "strange" music. Thanks to internet nowadays. Sometimes i listen to aphex twin, for instance, and i'm going deep with the music, really feeling an uplift from it, and i contrast it with people saying it's nonsense, it's not music etc. This happens with boc too. I guess it's something i was born with, some demand for more intense stuff, another way of seeing things. I was thinking this week, and i remembered one feeling i always had at some point, making me think i was different. Specially when i was a kid, this came too heavy at the time and i couldn't understand a thing. I don't have a clear understanding about this yet, but i think more people feel this way too. It's just amazing ;D.

Oh, an important thing, you have a place to stay in Budapest already? because I'm looking for a flat to rent/flatmates. When you will start your studies? There are other brazilians going too, but they are too lazy, i don't see anyone looking for flats yet. Do you know Bonobo? like his music? sorry about the questionaire :D

Having many gigs is great news! I like classic rock, but it isn't the stuff i like most, i think rock'n'roll is kinda dead, people should be creative and start searching for other stuff. I'm quite sure in Budapest i'll see much more insteresting gigs than i do here, in Brazil. The people from here who enjoy Boards of Canada, for instance, i know only via facebook. And they are 2 persons only hahahaha. And this happens to many other artists i like. I feel very much like a lone wolf sometimes hahaha. Do you know if people like IDM/Breakcore in Budapest? BoC? that would be heaven to me :D

I had a similar problem when starting college. I had philosophy, computer science/engineering, geology and electrical engineering as possibilities. Ended on computer science. Now I'm ending the course and i don't feel any regret. I really enjoy it. Literature is a great subject too, but I'm too lazy to read many books :) Anyway, computer engineering is great, in my opinion, because you're going to work a lot with hardware. I wouldn't have any problem if i was into computer engineering, much on the opposite. But chances are you will end working with the same stuff than someone who was into computer science.

well, you have a point on your argument. but i think its probably clouded too, because it's your country. If someone told they are coming to Brazil to study, i would say "why here?", but it's pretty much acceptable, as a foreign experience, i guess. I had ways to choose another country, altough it could require some patience and strategy, but Hungary seemed a very interesting choice. Do you think i'm a victim of propaganda? hahahahah. Anyway, where are you going to study? what course? i'm going to ELTE. Also i'm very excited, it's the first time i have the chance to leave my country ahahhaha. How about concerts there? this is an important thing. I'm looking forward to a concert from Bonobo in september, will buy the ticket soon, just having some difficulties from buying it from the hungarian site, can't understand a thing :p cheers

BoC is just inefable. I'm listening to TH over and over and just getting more fond of it, the click stuff you mentioned is happening. Do you know the Old Tunes stuff? some people don't really like it, not me in fact. Well, the brazillian government is with a program to send people to other countries, to study. I applied to Hungary and they accepted me, then I'm going to Budapest! think it will be a great experience.

The Virgin Suicides is also my least favorite Sofia Coppola movie. And I also completely agree with what you've said about her music choice. She got me into My Bloody Valentine, which led me to other 'shoegaze' bands. Can't wait for her new movie, 'The Bling Ring', but I think it's gonna be a Virgin Suicides type of movie.
