Oh & you're right about the new Decemberists album - its lovely! Especially like Don't Carry It All & June Hymn so far! One of the managers at work is a mad keen Decemberists fan - I found out when I had to go to his office for something & he was playing The Crane Wife album - cool, huh? xx

Heya :) Glad you had a nice holiday :D Aw yeah, it had been an indecently long time since I ended my nightly plays with those two lovely songs - so nice to hear them as always :) Wow, 2 weeks without gigs??? O_O Not long to wait until Foals :) I still don't have their new album - shame on me! Hope you're coping, haha :P Oh & I think you're over-reacting a little to SFG in my loved tracks, haha :P Maybe a guilty pleasure, but hey, I'm not ashamed! Yeah, I'm not too bad thanks :) Take care :) xxx

Heya! :) Haha, yeah you sure have had a lot of gigs recently! Definitely making up for lost time! So glad the 'Phonics gig was a great one :) It must've been so great to hear the whole of Word Gets around live. Billy Davey's Daughter would've had me in tears - it always does when I hear it. Love the sound of the greatest hits part of the gig, but yeah, shame about not getting Mr Writer. Nice that the gig was dedicated to Stuart Cable - such a tragic loss :( Can you believe I've never seen them live??? O_O That's appalling!! Hope to hear from you soon & take care :) xxx

Awwwwwwwwwww, just awesome, beautiful, wonderful, perfect!! :D To me, there's no other type of Delays gig!! When I have my breath back, I'll write a journal review, but, for now, I'm just living in the beautiful post-gig buzz!! :D Hope you're well & hope to hear from you soon! :) xx

Heya :) You've never properly listened to Delays??? O_O Let's see if my upcoming review can convince you, haha! :P So glad the ATE intimate gig was a good one :) I had a feeling Somewhere Around Midnight would sound amazing!! Aw, sorry that you're ill at the mo :( Best wishes with the early start! You really should pull a sickie! Safe journey there & back :) Never been to the Union Chapel, but from what you say, I definitely have to find a gig there sometime! Aw & thanks for your wishes for my gig :) Hope you'll like my review! Oh & congrats on getting tix for Glasto 2011 :D Alas, I had to work, so there was no chance for me to join the mad scramble on Sunday, so sadly I'll be missing Glasto again :( Take care & look forward to hearing from you too & get well soon :) xx

Aw, glad you had a nice weekend :) Didn't notice that acoustic ATE on your calendar before - I'm guessing it was a good one!! Had a 5 day stint of earlies, but they're behind me for 2 weeks now - yay! Also, its my next gig of the lovely Delays on Wednesday - can't wait & sooo looking forward to hearing the songs from the new album live :D I think its pretty much a done deal that their latest album is gonna be my album of the year - I've played it to death & I adore it!! Hope you're well & speak soon :) xxx

You're welcome! I've got this weekend off, but it'll be a cash conserving kinda weekend, with all sorts of delightful chores waiting for me! >_< Cool - listen to the album!!!! Nice that you're rectifying the Placebo situation with the earlier stuff & I'll do my best with everything after the debut album :) I know I'll be in touch before then, but I hope that its an awesome gig!! :D Ah, I had a feeling you'd go for Mumford - nice choice :) Still really wanna see them live - I bet hearing The Cave is one of those golden gig moments :D Take care :) x

Haha, I promise & definitely no excuse! I haven't got my ticket yet, but I will be getting it pretty soon. I heartily recommend you give in to that temptation - its been faaaaar too long since you last saw them & also waaay too long since we went to a gig!! Its been three years since you heard The Perfect Song live & I reckon its high time you heard it live again :)Haha & I promise to repair the gaps in my Placebo collection - thanks for the tips :) Oh & surprised you didn't mention Without You, I'm Nothing - isn't that the one with Pure Morning on it? Oh & I'll ask again, seeing as you carefully avoided answering before, haha! :P Who would you have voted for in the Mercury Music Prize? Take care :) x

Talking of that, finally posted my first megablurb in a month - hope you like :) Cheers for the PM, BTW :) Take care & speak soon :) xx

Heya :) How was Iron & Wine? Hope it was a great gig :) I'm ashamed to admit that the only song of them I know is their cover of The Postal Service's Such Great Heights!! >_< I love that! Haha, nope, I didn't rec them to you, but I should've!! :P Wow, lots of gigs to look forward to - awesome! :D Hope you'll have a stunning Muse gig!! :) (Is there any other kind of Muse gig?) Looks like you're getting right back in the gigging groove :) I've only got one gig coming up, but its my beloved Delays, so its definitely quality over quantiti with me at the mo :) You don't like The xx??? O_O I'm shocked!! Their album, to me, is one of the most beautiful I've heard in ages! So who would you have liked to win? Please don't say the Kit Downes Trio, haha!! :P Brazil was just spectacular - best holiday ever! :D Copacabana Beach has to be seen to be believed. It really is like no other beach ever - about 3 miles long, beautifully curved, lovely sand & walking along it as the sun sets with your feet being washed by the waves is lovely! :D Oooh, hope you can make it there. Hey, that's the year that Brazil is hosting the World Cup! Could be pretty pricey!! Take care & enjoy Muse :D x

Ahhhh, I soooo wish I could help you with IAK, but I was equally as late in hitching a lift on their bandwagon & the only album of theirs I have is the latest one! But with absolutely nothing to go on, I'd recommend doing the same as I'm gonna do when I can spare the cash & have waded through all the new albums I've got recently, & that's to work your way back through their albums from the one before the current one to the earliest. Oh & yay for The xx winning the prize - thoroughly deserved!! :D x

Heya :) Damn right we are!! :D Oh & cheers for the BP link - never heard that before - where did that come from? Oh & very belated thanks for your Glasto review! No, I didn't know you were stewarding this year - how'd you wangle that one?! I knew you'd be there for Stevie. I thought the funniest part was when he drank that drink that affected his voice & he became Little Stevie again! But the bit where Eavis came on was pretty surreal too! I really should try & make the effort to go next year, but I reckon the clamour for tix will be even more mental than usual as the festie is taking a break in 2012. Really looking forward to my Brazil trip - not long to wait now! :D Hope Croatia was cool & hope that all is well with you too :) Speak soon & take care :) x

Had a bit of a listen to the new David Ford album as a warm-up for Thursday, its a really cool & pretty diverse album, but I still reckon I won't recognise most of the new songs at the gig, so there'll be no writing the setlist on my hand or wherever haha! Should be a great gig at a great venue :) Aw, Mumford & Sons - NME raved about their Glasto show & said that they were the band of the weekend!! What I saw on the highlights looked amazing, the way everyone sang along to The Cave - awesome! :) But of all the highlights I saw, the one that caused most goosebumps & looked like my biggest 'wish I was there' moment was when Flaming Lips played Do You Realise :D I had tears in my eyes from just seeing it on TV! Heya :) Still haven't had a chance to write my TNP review - had a load of early shifts & was online last night but had some net issues - in other words it kept cutting out every few minutes! >_< But will write it soon! Ahh, you got the new Band of Horses album? Its just glorious & is giving TNP a serious run for its money in the album of the year stakes! Check out the title track Infinite Arms & Evening Kitchen especially - just beautiful & the closest they get to the peerless Detlef Schrempf on this album :D Their gig at The Roundhouse is sold out but I might turn up anyway & betray all my principles & get a ticket off a tout! New megablurb is on the air as of tonight - hope you like & take care :) x

I've not been too bad today, thanks, just a pretty quiet day in the life of me. Sorry to hear you haven't been too well this weekend :( I wish you the speediest of recoveries :) I managed to get my weekly stat thing up tonight - I tried to get as many different types of music in my chart this week - hope you like :) Oh & I changed my Perishers lyric again- I think this is gonna be a weekly thing. This lyric is one of the simplest & sweetest lyrics they've written :) They've snuck into my top 6 artists now O_O I guess you saw my themes of the last few days. Tonight's is a topical one - don't know if you heard about it, but its the story about a 12 year old boy who made a 15 year old girl pregnant. He's just turned 13 & the baby was born recently. ...I remember them. Any suggestions from your end are much appreciated :) Yeah, the weather has been pretty rank lately. Sorry to hear about your near-accident :( I did that a few times when it was really icy too. That's pretty crap that they don't think you're high enough priority for salt! Alas, there's not a huge amount going on in Al-world at the mo :( I'm still more or less skint & bored witless. That nice cheque I told you about still hasn't turned up. I phoned them up & they said it was sent out a week & a half ago! I hope some sticky-fingered post office employee hasn't got their hands on it! If I had that precious cash, I could buy stuff (gig tix & CD's) that would help cheer me up, but alas, I can't, so its still the same old, same old, I'm afraid :( Its another vaguely sad & lost kinda theme tonight too. Ahoy, Miss Shalin :) Aw, those heart cookies sound cute! Can't make my mind up about my theme yet - I'm torn between alternative love songs, sad & longing songs or as far away from love songs as I can get, not sure which way i'm gonna go yet. Aw, no, you hadn't told me that. Hope you don't have to sell the MP tix, they are awesome live. I remember when I saw them first, at Lowlands, the same time that the first album came out. I just remember Paul Smith jumping around so much that he was out of breath when he talked to the crowd between songs! Wow, your birthday do seems to be expanding out of all proportion! I really shouls make the effort to see them - just hope they don't sell out before I have money again. Ah, those Perishers lyrics are indeed sad, but I thought that the last set of lyrics I had (from the track The Night) were quite sweet by their standards & the lyric of theirs at the end of this weeks stat thing is sweet too. They can do hopeful sometimes too! Ah happy songs...

Thank you for the lovely rambling shout, Shalin & I hope everything is ok with you :) The perfect song is playing as I type this so I'm gonna crash out now. Haven't seen you around for a while & nothing scrobbled since last Friday :( I've kinda been on autopilot today with lots of Elbow TNP & The Perishers as well as a few plays of that great band A Silent Film that Hannah recommended - have you had a chance to listen to them? They dfinitely sound like your kinda thing :) Tonight's the only night I can be up late this week & shout properly - I'm cursed by the early shifts this week, but I'll be having a nice long lie-in in the morning :) The last two usual songs are here tonight as always & the title of the third last track says it all :( I hope you're ok, Shalin & I hope to hear from you when you have a chance. Aw & noticed the other day that KoL have well & truly overtaken TNP in your overall artist chart. Oh & I know I listen to it every night, but MYS really is just the cutest song, isn't it? =) Goodness, that's a whole lotta rambling from me tonight, apologies for that outburst of typing diahorrea! Oh & when I was stuck in the back of a trailer at work today with my mp3 on - the Perfect Song came on randomly & I whacked the volume up & did absolutely nothing for 4 minutes & 27 seconds =D OK, definitely enough from me for now, just to let you know that its the usual cop-out Saturday night theme - fave song from each of this weeks top 10 artists - hope you like :) I hope all is well with you, Shalin :) Take care & hope to hear from you soon & nighty-night from me :) xx

Good morning, my friend :) Another late night for me again - my last one for a few days as I've gotta work 6 days out of 7 starting at 6am next week! >_< Wednesday is my only escape route! I've been on a bit of a Doves mission tonight - pushing them to the top of the tree for this week :) So looking forward to their new album & to seeing them live for the first time - I can't believe I've never seen them before, then again, they were supposed to have played Lowlands a few years ago when I was there but they cancelled at the last minute :( Oh & the local radio station we have on at work played Kids from MGMT today & it made me think of you :) When it came on, I thought 'aww, that's your latest loved track' :) I was so shocked as they usually just play chart drivel. If I hear that damn Lady Gaga song again, I think I might scream! & as for Alexandra Burke & Leona Lewis & their abominable murdering of two awesome songs...don't get me started on them, haha! I think they should be put..

Again, I couldn't think of a theme for tonight so sandwiched between MYS & TBHS are eight tracks that I recently downloaded from one of my online music providers that I'm subscribed to - a pretty eclectic mix, I think! I've never heard of The King Blues! Oh & I was fresh out of ideas for a theme tonight, so (along with +44), I just made a mini theme of my last four milestone tracks :) I'm crashing out now - a tiny bit earlier than usual (I say that, but its still 4.20am, haha!), so just want to say take care, I hope all is well with you & hope to hear from you soon, Shalin :) Nighty-night :) x

I reckon you can spot where my theme is coming from tonight, apart from the perfect song, they all have something wonderful that binds them together :D Oh & I played MP again tonight - I'm sure they'd be to your taste ;) I hope you are well, take care & speak soon, Shalin :) x

Oh & thought I'd carry on with the colour themes again & did a stack of 'red' songs -of course there was only one track I could end that theme with :) Aw & I see some plays of Second Person in your recently played - all thanks to you that I know them :) Take care, my friend & I hope everything is ok with you & look forward to hearing from you, as always :) Night night :) x
