Just thought it pertinent to check in to see what musical delights you've been keeping busy with in the last....6 years! I feel old....

Hey sarahbish! I saw that you got a nice taste of music and thought that you'd maybe like our music as well. We are three girls from the forests of Sweden and we are going to record our very first album in Woodstock this summer! We would love if you checked out this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc_SKuEZm0o ! Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) by commenting the video, and also check out our cover of 'Kathy's Song' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44kjqZUC5PU that we got the chance to play live for Paul Simon! Hi sarahbish! I saw that you have a pretty good taste in music and thought that you maybe like our music as well. Me and my sister are from a southern suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, and we just recently released a song we recorded 2 months ago, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYYcM4WDUVM . Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) and also check out a cover we did for Valentine's day at our channel! Cheers! /ROTH

I think they'll be ok at Reading. The festival crowd isn't as heavy as it used to be, there's a lot more indie on show these days. Plus Elbow have supported Muse before, so their fanaticals should be respectful to them at least... I'd personally prefer to see Interpol above them though, seeing them in daylight will be weird I think...

Haha I see, like my dad's always listening to The Psycadelic Furs, and now I'm starting to like them too. Oh yeah chech that album out, I bought it this week and I've listened to it since then:P Anyway I'm from a city called Linköping in Sweden:) How about you?

Yes, but you can never have too much Libs! You have seen a lot of good bands live, slightly jealous of The Hives and a few others. I see you've seen Elbow twice this week - I really need to listen to them before Reading. What's your favourite album/where should I start? I shamefully know only two songs (I'm sure you can guess which). They're one victim of the more music than time theory.

The first band I saw was Simple Plan, my taste in music has changed a bit since then though. Birmingham and Bristol are both about the same distance so go to either but they only have a few venues in each city. London has so many place for people to play!

I live in Cheltenham, an hour away from any decent venues :( So jealous you've seen Grizzly Bear and Beach House and Shout Out Louds!

No worries Miss B , having a life is a worthwhile pursuit! To be honest I'd only just heard about it over the weekend and following your reminder only got on to it a couple of days back. I'd heard, and had, power, devil in a dress and monster so was pleased he's moved away from 100% autotune and looks like he's nailed some of the songs but the problem for me is he peaked in his first 2 albums (and he's an arrogant son of a gun)! What did you reckon? Any news on any of the hip hop I recommended or have you been a busy bee? Anyhow it's friday, hopefully the snow won't be around for much longer causing kaos and the weekend is upon us! Any plans? Hope Vampire Weekend were good last night, I knew a few people heading down so I'm sure the Ally Pally was bouncing! xx

What's new indie schmindie? As for recommendations it'll depend whether you like Kanye's rapping or the beats he has which are normally pretty original. If I were to recommend a few artists I'd go for Mos Def, Wale, A Tribe Called Quest and possibly for a random contribution Asher Roth. Albums wise the best would be Mos Def - The Ecstatic, A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders and for the other two their latest mixtapes would be best. Anyhow that went on longer than planned - let me know what you think! I also started out with narrow tastes but the longer time goes on the more you eventually pick on on other genres etc....oh how wise I pretend to be! xx

The transition into motown seems faultless! As for Beyonce well I guess everyone needs their guilty pleasures :P I'm alright thanks, although in need of money as always! As for recommendations what kind of music were you looking for? If you gave me 5 bands/artists you liked I could try and come close to them with a suggestion x

hahaha you're the worst kind of scrobbler! i also notice you're going to see Foals on the 12th, i went to see them the other night and pretty much groped Yannis Philippakis when he jumped into the crowd which was nearly the proudest moment of my lift. i've also seen Ellie Goulding live and she was good as well, does this weird think with her hips though, put me off a bit...

yes ive seen them live and yes it was frickin' amazing, best gig of my life by an absolute yard. i assume you've seen them live reading your profile, i'm also super fucking envious of you for being near/in london and being able to see them! also, that is brave, i've listened to beach house for like one song that was available on itunes for a free download and i enjoyed it certainly i will definitely listen to them more now! i would suggest something to you but your amount of 'artists in total' is far superior to mine, so you probably know better.

History. I love London! :D It's just very expensive. But there's lots of free/cheap things to do, just buying everyday things is much more expensive than back in Northampton. Oh, I was like that with track too. They should email you though, so there's no need to check all the time (though, I did that anyway!) What have you applied for and where? x

A-Levels - you're making me feel very old here! My best mate got me into White Denim and it only really clicked with Fits and then got more into the back catalogue. It helped seeing them live too as they were epic! Recently been listening to the new album a lot - it's well worth a listen if you've not yet heard it. I need to inspire you with more recommendations....the pressure! I'm alright thanks, looking for work at the moment though which is a bummer. I've got another reminder of my age tomorrow when a mate is getting married too so should be a messy one! Any plans for the weekend? xx

Hey - yeah I've got a pretty wide ranging taste in music but it definately looks like we've got plenty of artists in common! Hows it going anyhow? x

Oh, not seeing them twice. I need to work out which one I can go to. I think only 1 has tickets left, so it will probably be that one.

brilliant bands, yeah. hmm ... now you're tempting more. i haven't been to the roundhouse for years, and it is a great venue. (the northern line has the best venues) ... and i've heard yeasayer are good live, too ...

yeasayer! hey super neighbour - wow, you sure go to lots of gigs. i'm so tempted by their gig at the roundhouse.

Annoys the hell out of me. Most of my favourite bands have seen their halcyon days and are juggling toddlers and the odd acoustic gig. If I see live music, it's usually amateurs in the back room of a pub for 3 quid. I'd love to see Yeasayer live however...

The band opened many doors for me, and a few windows. Admittedly some of them were those small awkward bathroom windows, nevertheless...sterling group. 69 Love Songs is the magnum opus.

I hold you in high esteem for ceding to the almighty OJ. 'The Glasgow School' compilation gathers what became 'indie' year zero. 'You can't hide your love forever' is more '80's polish' though has equally tough and tender moments. Have you heard Magnetic Fields?
