Nice! I hope you like it :). In that case a regular visit to http://www.luisterpaal.nl/ is highly recommended for new releases (which you can even scrobble by going through http://www.luisterpaal.fm ). And besides that the entire show of The National is available online as well: http://3voor12.vpro.nl/tv/#/41396395/44514276/0 so enjoy and relive the memory :)

Hey, I've just been thinking the same thing! Lot of time, expecially since you're no longer on slsk and even on ym. Everything as usal here, lot of music, some work business, some concerts every now and then. I see you're about to go back to Singapore festival, any chance for another european travel? Hope you're fine and to talk soon again :)

hi, i'm luciano, from brazil. i've seen you listening to the new album of the delano orchestra, and you may be against it, but i'm asking if you, please, could put it into rapidshare or send me or something. i love their music, but i really don't have the money or ways to pay for it and their album will never reach brazil, so i'll never be able to listen to them. i know it's bad and wrong, but i don't have any other choice. i hope you can understand and don't get the wrong idea of what i ask. thanks anyway =)

i have indeed been back for about a fortnight now, went to the party in the end! made the right decision in the end, was great having all my fellow interns and flatmates and friends all together in my room for my last night :) made poor choice of drink though and consequently can't remember the whole evening but nevermind! how was the rest of the interrailing, back in the philippines now yourself? i'm actually planning a bit of travelling in SE asia, maybe in a month or so, fingers crossed! x

Hey, did you take care of your tickets yet for GiaA/TWDY? A guy from the venue responded on your shout at [event=826083]the corresponding event-page[/event], he said you could just send an email to pu@w2.nl and they can put you on a reservation list. Perfect, no? ;D I see you've got quite a trip planned, you're going all the way through Europe, are you? Lastfm is perfect for planning some concerts along the way, your agenda is already looking quite promising. Concerts and festivals make a perfect addition to travel, to my experience.. I know how much of a hassle it can be to organize everything properly, so if you need any help or information regarding your trip through our country, I'd be happy to help you out! Consider it some Dutch hospitality from a fellow-traveler (: Cheers!

Yep, I've been in hoarding mode lately. :P Most of what I've discovered is excellent stuff too, save for a few dull generic post-rock bands like Joy Wants Eternity and Maybeshewill. Of the ones that you recommended, Dustin O'Halloran's piano opuses (opi?) are fantastic, whereas Amiina's a bit... inconsistent (i.e. some of their songs are amazing, while some are just profoundly annoying). The GIAA/TWDY show sounds awesome, that's a great pair of bands. Seems like you'll be traveling around Europe quite a bit in April, looking through your events list.

Well, I'm not much of a social guy, but when it comes to music, I like to trade opinions and discuss about things related to it. Explosions In The Sky sounds absolutely magnificent, I've been meaning to get some of their stuff, but never really got around to it. Seeing it in your playlist-thingie reminded me of it and here we are. Have you listened to a band called Red Sparowes? If not, then I highly recommend it.

I'm really glad the English version of the interview made it be read by more than only italian readers. Expecially because he's been very kind and most of his answers are very meaningful: reading them I understand that's not only because of music that I love his records so much...

If Wikipedia is to be believed, I already have some folktronica stuff; múm and Efterklang, for instance. I'll have to look into it a bit more. And nah, I didn't participate in the whole dance thing. Not my cup of tea that. Plus I was sick for most of last week, so sadly I wasn't even there to watch it.

Because of Ghosts seem pretty GY!BE-esque to me at times, but a bit more low-key and jazzy. Anyways, I'm listening to Don Caballero and it's... utterly confusing. Which is good, I think. I suspect it'll take some more listens to really get into. Good catch on that pattern btw, I didn't notice it myself. :P Which reminds me, I need to check out Dirty Three as well (my HD is filling up fast...)

Well, Because of Ghosts and Russian Circles are a few great post-rock bands that I didn't see in your library. Then there's Plain Fade, a Finnish post-rock band, though I only got into them like 15 mins ago so I'm not sure if I can recommend them yet. Sounds promising so far though.

Haha, it was the name that got me into TSJ5 as well, it kinda stood out. In fact, weird names are what got me into post-rock in the first place - when I saw there's a band called "Godspeed You! Black Emperor", I just /had/ to see what kind of music they make. :P Oh, and I've known about Sigur Rós for ages, I've just been putting off checking them out. Why? I have no idea. :P They're great though.

I'm not really digging Caspian, they seem a bit... generic. Maybe they'll grow on me eventually. Your Ten Mofo on the other hand are awesome as hell, ditto for Te'. I also discovered some other excellent music, like Bosques De Mi Mente and The Samuel Jackson Five while sifting through music blogs looking for the stuff you recommended. Oh yeah, and some obscure Icelandic band called Sigur Rós :P

Yeah, I'm mostly focused on building my collection of post-rock for now, but I'm open to suggestions on other stuff too. I do lurk around ATPR occasionally, I've found a lot of really good stuff there - Mono, Yndi Halda etc. I actually have some Caspian somewhere on my laptop (the LP, I believe), but I haven't listened to it yet due to... technical difficulties with said laptop. As for math rock, I've heard of it, but I don't think I have any. I'll look into that, and that Caspian EP, and the other bands you mentioned. Thanks!
