nice seeing you too. i started listening more on January when i started getting into Robert Wyatt's solo album Rock Bottom. i fell in love with that album , if you never listened to him please do. I knew of him before that he was in the Canterbury Prog band The Soft Machine but i never got into that band, but my mind had an artist i couldn't remember his name and one night i was going crazy not remembering that artists name, all i could remember he did a cover of Richard Thompson song in a charity album after staying up till 3am i finally found his name it was Ivor Cutler and when i did a search Robert Wyatt was in similar or linked artists cause Ivor was feat. in Rock Bottom and that's how i stumbled into Robert Wyatt and that lead me to listen to more Prog albums from 60's 70's

Haha, well that was good cause to see you back here. I actually did gave him a listen and i liked him! Strange to see him covering Strange fruit and At last im free. Gonna give his solo album a chance soon! My story is even more peculiar. I discovered i had something for the English doom genre and so i decided to get back here again. I found a handful of lovely recommendations and also found out that plenty of old listeners that i connected with across years still using this website. That was a lovely feeling! Glad to see people on here again away from all this social media noise.

No, I don't work in the music industry, and I really only listened to Bikya's track on Amnesty International's PEACE compilation. Never heard of them before.

You really think I will travel all the way from Germany to Egypt just because I listened to one of Bikya's tracks on the PEACE compilation? ;-) By the way, you can download the compilation, which has 180 tracks from artists all over the world, by making a donation of at least €5 to Amnesty International at http://www.buffetlibredjs.net/peace.html

I'm great. How about you? I'm not sure about festivals. I finish uni this May and I'm hoping to get some travelling done, though. See the world a bit.

Well,I'm not really looking forward to any albums right now, both YLT's "Popular Songs" and Flaming lips' "Embryonic" were my latest anticipated albums..The books I heard about but the others I might have to check out. My latest discovery was this band called "Parenthetical Girls",and what a discovery they are..I already love freak-folk-y music but the brilliant blend of sweeping musicality and the soaring vocals of their latest album "Entanglements" is just too good to miss.

mad respect for her vocal skills.. you DJ huh? I guess that explains the music collection. So what equipment do you use? and i truly believe that DJ's should have an album's worth of brilliant Tabla/bellydance music, and it doesn't have to be limited to just percussions but the other arabic instruments like oud or nay... that's how you tell if a person has the skills for the dance..ahm. Anywho, was never into arabic music till recently, and even now, I'm very particular about what to listen to. So, when was your last DJ-ing gig, or when's your next one coming up?

honestly i tired many of similar artists to bohren but i sadly didn't like any of them.. there must be something in bohren i cant find anywhere else though there are good bands like massive attack,Dale Cooper Quartet & The Dictaphones, heroin and your veins .. related to the same mood. give James blunt and Damien Rice a good chance, they rock
