If you haven't listened to El Michels Affair's new album from this year, Yeti Season, you're missing out.

Hey there! I came to your profile because you kept popping up on shouts for songs I've been listening to. Great taste. I've been listening to your library all morning. Great mix of chill jazz, soul, hip hop, and funky beats. Way less Zappa than I would have expected but I'll blame that on the algorithm. Cheers from across the pond!

Hey! Apologies, I hardly ever log in to last.fm since I usually listen on Spotify these days. Glad you like what you’ve heard. Give me a Phish introduction album, I’ve been meaning to check them out but don’t know where to start. In return, my fav album of the year is Yellow by Emma-Jean Thackray. Really spiritual jazzy vibe, should be listened as a whole, it’s a complete album and a phenomenal debut. Hope you enjoy!

Oh and yeah I’m a massive Tool fan, my listening probably coincided with them being added to Spotify! I have tickets to see them at 2 dates next year. I saw them in Amsterdam just before Fear Inoculum was released and it’s high on my list of best ever gigs. If you haven’t already then move heaven and earth to see them perform live!

Start with A Live One for Phish. Their first live album, great stuff. After that, check out Junta, their first studio album. It holds up well after all these years.

Hello Sir! I don't think there is a single person on the planet who knows what is going on with Brexit...least of all me. Endless story yes! Thanks for the recommendations...interesting vocals. I notice you have been checking out Yussef Kamaal?! What do you think? They don't record together any more, but I have seen both Yussef Dayes (the drummer) and Kamaal Williams (keys) separately live. Both very talented guys. Black Focus is one of my favourite records from the last few years. I have gone down the jazz rabbit hole lately. The UK jazz scene is in fine shape. GoGo Penguin and Mammal Hands are worth a listen, as well as Matthew Halsall, if you like that kind of thing :)

Mm yeah Bubblegum is so good! Wedding dress has such a great vibe, love the lyrics too... I think I will listen to more of his music. I wonder, seems like we both like dark but sensual songs like that, can you think of any more to recommend? :)

Hey there! I found you on the Gooey song page, and I was delighted to find someone who is (was?) as enchanted by it as I am. Turns out we are highly compatible musically. I love making friends here. Hello from Finland/Romania!

I'm most definitely still enchanted by Gooey! Also very impressed to see your favourite album is Bubblegum. Wedding Dress and One Hundred Days are my favourites from there too. His other albums are well worth checking out, as well as his collaborations (Duke Garwood, Soulsalvers, Isobell Campbell).

Absolutely amazing charts, man! I'm about to discover so many amazing artists with your library. Would you say Zappa is your favorite artist? And which of his albums would you recommend me to begin with? Thanks in advance.

Thanks man! Yep Zappa is my favourite artist of all time. In my opinion one of the few people you could call an actual genius. I would recommend you start with Apostrophe, Over-Nite Sensation, and Roxy & Elsewhere (a live album with one of the most capable and stunningly well rehearsed bands he ever put together). What I love about his music is how rewarding it is to keep on listening. Some of my favourite tracks now are ones which I hated on first listen. A lot of his music sounds jarring at first, but if you keep listening the rewards are immense. This is the video that made me think the man had something I had to investigate...https://youtu.be/WJxoV5O8HUU . 10+ years on I'm still investigating and being rewarded by his huge body of work. And songs I've heard loads of times finally just 'click' and I see what he was doing, that happens all the time even now. He was so clever musically. And as the video above proves, he really knew how to play guitar!

Thank you! I never had a thing for U2. Redeemer with shoe insoles. They ridden their message to stand up for the poor of the earth to dead and were in reality only interested in the money and the next supermodel. Oasis was also definitely never my thing, their music stuck somehow between Bryan Adams and Bowie of the "Heroes"- phase. Coldplay? Cultured middle class people - anemic, half-digested, energy less sound full pubertal pathos.

"Best thing I ever saw was Iggy / Josh Homme perform this in Amsterdam. Hypnotic" Fuck. I'm incredibly jealous.

Hi nice taste in proggresive rock and jazz music. Certainly we will have a lot to know and to share through last fm. I also listen to a lot of Italian progressive bands from the 70's . Il Balletto Di Bronzo, or Realle Accademia Di Musica for example. - Greetings from México Amigo. - Alfredo

hahaha. I love that it offends people. spoiler alert - he's not real! That's amazing you've seen him twice, I am so jealous! 2009 sounds amazing, I'd love to hear him play some of my favourites. He played at Hop Farm but I couldn't go that year. I've seen so many great acts at that festival but missed him! Is his voice still great? I saw Bob Dylan live in 2012 and his is shot to pieces. he was baaaad!

Yeh, On the beach is one I haven't played as much as I should. My best friend recommended it again to me this weekend and I loved it from first play, it really clicked this time around.....the last few songs are AMAZING. I need to listen to Floyds new one as well. I was never much of a division bell fan so I haven't been overally excited about it really, but I should check it out. Looking at your plays you seem to enjoy their Roger Waters work more as well? Have you ever seen Neil live?
