Another artist explorer like myself! If you're looking to broaden how many artists you listen to, try scrobbling radio. I find I listen to indie radio stations like KEXP, The Current and WFMU. I've surged my way to over 20k artists in a few years by doing it. Also don't rest in one place, listen to stations from different countries too, playlists will differ greatly in Canada, US, UK, Australia even within your preferred genres. The further away from corporate radio the better though. Their playlists are so narrow it doesn't really broaden your scope much. And listening to late night radio in a lot of places is great. They play weird stuff that you'd never expect in a lot of cases.

Hey thanks! I was looking to do that eventually with KEXP and triple J, since i really love the Australian indie and pop punk scene (in the case of triple J). Really the only other thing i'm doing to help myself with adding more artists to the library is using a site called everynoise (dot) com, helps find some obscure stuff! Cheers again man!!
