I liked your comment in the "people who go to shows alone". I don't...I've tried and continue to, but usually don't end up going. It always feels lame :( <3 Cocteau Twins. That's a show I would attend no matter effin what :)

Some good taste there, Ant. It's possible that I may have signed up to last.fm because of a post you made to the list some years ago...

that's the amazing power of the internet and of LAst.FM Twa Toots was recommended to me back of it's similarities to alot of the Rough Trade and Sarah stuff I was listening to. as well as the Rose Melberg stuff.

actually..judging by your library.. our music compatibility is closer than you think ( there's loads of music I haven't scrobbled yet...)..as for recommendations, that would very much depend on what kind of mood you're in..myself, I quite like Tinariwen ( of the very little I heard of them.)..and I'll be 'checking ' out more of their stuff.

Don't worry I've just got into deerhoof too! Its the same with Of Montreal I've been ignoring them for years and now I'm obsessed! I keep missing the Freak Zone, I always forget when its on though I do like Stuart Maconie. Haven't heard His Name Is Alive but will check them out.
