Hey what's up? I heard members of Spineshank are starting a new band and supposedly getting a new record out.

Yeah, I saw him talking about it a few times on Instagram. Just another distraction from finishing the fucking Silent Civillian album.

Yeah, I met Dark Tranquility at Bloodstock. I was meant to see them with Machine Head but missed it.

Yo man, see your still scrobbling on here. It took me awhile but since I figured out how to work this scrobbling thing on my phone using VLC and the Last.FM app (universal scrobbler quit working and my plays were stagnant) I still need to get a bigger MicroSD card but maybe I can scrobble more on here.

Hey, yeah. Spotify still scrobbles, though it's not great. DIsconnects every few weeks or so.

Doesn't Spotify have commercials now? I was having trouble accessing my AUX output on my car one time and I just used Spotify on my phone and it would have ads in between songs. Streaming and my reduced speeds on my phone (using too much data) doesn't work but seeing VLC works great but getting the default playlist to work is a bit problematic. Still it's like the old days. And I see Last.FM is still glitchy as ever. I couldn't reply to your comment and after closing and opening a new tab it finally worked.

You should. For some the vocals get a little while to get used to and some just don't like them, I never personally had an issue. Otherwise the bands songs, riffs, solos, lyrics and mix of metal to chiptunes is just amazing.

Ahh! I've seen a few comments from you on songs from the old games and thought I remembered playing you on 2K18 (the last one I played). Pretty much gave up with the series after that one due to the sluggish game play, glitches and cheap tactics people would resort to to pick up a win. I'm hoping this AEW game will make wrestling games fun to play again.

Yeah, I haven't played a Xbox One since they added all the loot boxes and stuff. Too much of a grind unfortunately. I'm THEpaynexkiller on XBL though, we may have each other on there :) Hope you're well.

Holy shit it's been a while, dude. Sorry I'm so late replying, I hardly go onto the actual site anymore since it's such a shell of its former self. I still remember you though, it was a little surreal seeing you post in my shoutbox out of the blue!

Love your Reuben plays, I remember finding them back in '06 (Kerrang! magazine I believe) and I was a huge, huge fan. Listening to them now feels a bit bittersweet with all those great UK rock bands long defunct. I still dig it.

Yeah, I've been listening to them since High School when Freddy Krueger got really big. I miss them, but still really enjoy listening to them.

I've always loved Racecar, but recently I've listened to 'In Nothing We Trust' more for 'Cities on Fire'/Ambulance/Suffocation of the Soul. Can't beat that intro of those 3 songs.

Yes, time flies fast with our hobbies like music :-) We have seen drastic changes when CBS bought lastfm. But the devs are still working, they have a forum where one can see this. Let's hope one day lastfm gets to where it was once again. I am glad that you as one of the oldtimers still roam around here :-) Have a nice musical evening. What will you be playing music-wise for today? I am listening currently Venetian Snares, and tomorrow my fresh "Release Radar" (weekly playlist on spotify)

I'm more into the melodeath, so not much melodeath in that Dark Fortress album haha. Will look into Crow Black Sky.

Congrats on getting hold of the ">690k scrobbles" milestone :-) ... How is life on your place of the globe ? I assume you as well stay indoors more recently in this worldwide pandemic, as we also here in good old Germany... Protect yourself - and proceed playing tracks as loud as you can ... I wish you and your family a peaceful Whit Monday, Joshua

Found you from the Jinjer shoutbox randomly (I'm not a fan of the neck tattoo either lol), so I stopped by. It's always cool finding such old accounts and seeing what they've racked up over years and years. Good taste!

Yeah I remember listening to them to fill my spineshank withdrawals lol if it weren't for my old computer taking a shit I'd still have the whole discography. The Height of Callousness will forever hold a special place in my heart tho. I ought to track those again and Silent Civilian's stuff too while I'm at it

If you are wondering what happened to Spineshank, in the comment section of this video they are taking an extra long vacation. Don't know where they are getting the money for that but nice that there's this live video, i need to extract the audio to mp3, i had it but lost it and the quality was iffy but this is better.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QSb2KgKG3A

Spineshank posted in February on Facebook so it seems they are checking their page but they are not responding to their comments/questions. Silent Civilian seems to be on hiatus at the moment according to their facebook page. Not sure what or where Johnny is at. He might just be enjoying life at the moment or something.

I do like a few tracks off of Siren Charms but i think the songwriting is just the weakest part on the album. Even the good songs are suffering from the low quality. I personally think that In Flames quality has been declining for quite some time, i think they should retire if they are struggling to write good albums or at least take some time away from their career to clear their minds.
