Can I suggest you The Gathering? They recorded very different sounding albums through their career: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoR_i7XAh9k

I saw you posting about Take As Needed for Pain. I stay out of loops. Why would someone give you grief for liking the album and/or supporting Curb Records. I have never heard of Curb Records. I also had no idea Hank covered Eyehategod. That intrigues the Hell out of me. Hank and his band crashed at my apartment, probably around 20 years ago. We listened to a lot of metal that night (and some Misfits too).

3 is close with phil anselmo and jimmy bower from the illegals, down and EHG. in fact, he played on the second super joint ritual album. the curb deal is fucked up. i still didn't listen to 3, and bought take as needed for pain on CD when it released a few years back, and recently again on wax, off amazon (love that prime, baby).

UNKLE - broken.... When I first saw the lyrics I immediately thought of being in the trap of drug addiction. I could possibly be taking the words "strung out" too literally, but all of the other lyrics make me think of a heroin addict, such as: "Two thread"--perhaps the two good veins he's got left; same with "strand"--kind of literal and symbolic: he's down to two threads, and when they break, that'll be the end of him. Yet he keeps going back for more. Or perhaps: Two thread score tearing up the floor--"score" (he's either 'tearing up the floor' to score again or he's scored a bit that'll do for now. Out in the alley with the trigger draw--I interpret 'trigger draw' as the plunger of the syringe Numb hands I can see the strand--Maybe he has numb hands because he's got the band (see below) tied very tightly around his arm. It could also just refer to how drugs "numb" you to everything going on around you.

BUSH - alien some random guy on song meanings wrote this about the song. for years, ive always loved the visual image of it. "This has got to be my second favorite BUSH song, next to Glycerine of course. As far as Gavin's meaning, I've no clue. It evokes a mental image, though, of a dark room at night, with a TV on just showing static, and rain bouncing off the windows, with a slight glow from the moon. And well, the song always reminds me of driving in my car with my first love, in the rain, at night in the city. When the songs over, and there is that long drone, drive down an expressway and crank the sound, completely awesome experience."

The Pumpkins rule! You'll probably like Phase too if you have an ear for new music! Same radgie vocals... Probably the same unsuccessful Mick Jagger cloning! Ha! Keep it this way!

I've never really loved any Circa albums, just some tracks here & there, but ya, it's solid enough. Was reviewed favorably by most.
