I just got "In Contact" about 2 weeks ago. This morning was my first listen. Very enjoyable! Reminds me of Haken, which is a good thing!

Thank you, likewise! You're veteran on this site with a very extensive library! I love seeing some Opeth and Leprous in there! Tbh I've just got into Katatonia recently, it surely took a while but, hey! Better late than never! Deftones is my forever love, arguably the coolest band in the world. Vola is also my recent discovery after seeing them live at a festival a year ago or so, awesome band!

Oh, wow. Then you have some serious Katatonia exploration to do I guess. So many good albums :) Yeah, for coolness and attitude I think they could be #1 actually :D Vola got me live as well back in Sweden in like 2015. Had no idea about them and they delivered a killer show. Managed to catch them with Katatonia as well. Sadly, Brutal Assault in Czech got cancelled which would've been my third one :( Covid period killing all the fun

Feel free to suggest any of your fav Katatonia records! They have a big discography so it was a bit overwhelming to even start getting into their stuff in the 1st place. Yeah, this covid mess is not giving anyone a break. I was actually supposed to see Katatonia live together with other cool bands at Prognosis fest in Netherlands in March, but there was already state of emergency declared in my country so I was forced to cancel my trip. Euroblast in Cologne as well :/

For modern stuff Night is the New Day, classic stuff Last Fair Deal Gone Down, extreme stuff Brave Murder Day. LFDGD is probably the one I would advise most people, since it really shows what Katatonia is about - and the songs are killer of course :) Oh, that festival had a killer line-up.. would've gone if I wasn't supposed to be in Portugal, which became fleeing home to Sweden instead, haha. Might go to the rescheduled Prognosis if Swedes are allowed to leave to those countries at any point :P But it's gonna be a weiiiiiird summer.

Hey, no prob! Your library is awesome! About C-Horse Record.... I love it! There is no weak song on it and the whole thing flows amazingly front to back imo. At this point, I can't even point out the song I like the most! If I had to pick one, it might be Autumn! Your thoughts? :)

I was really feeling icky about it at first... But I gave it another shot and with time I started to get what they were trying to do with this album... I wouldn't say it's my fav by them (that honor goes to The Congregation) , but I catch myself coming back to it, which I'd say it's a good thing! 😊

Ghost reveries was the first album I was exposed to (Ghost of perdition was the 1st song I heard by them) , and is my absolute favorite of theirs! Then Blackwater Park and Still Life. Fun fact: since I discovered Opeth, I started liking gutteral vocals quite a bit! Before, I thought they were pointless. But in Opeth's music, they definitely have purpose and create a certain atmosphere.
