Haven't listened to much music at all this past week, much less U2. I have less opportunity at work now, and I mostly watched TV at night this past week. The album is cool, it's taken a few listens to grow on me as a whole. I listened to the first Phish concert at Hampton yesterday (free download), today I plan on listening to a lot of U2 though.

I saw that you just listened to Robert Fripp's "Refraction." Did you know he recorded that between the two Word Trade Center towers?

Yeah, great movie, great soundtrack (which I have). That dude reminds me a lot of myself at that age.

I'm on an Eddie Vedder kick since I watched the film "Into the Wild" last week, which he did the entire soundtrack for. Have you seen the movie and heard the soundtrack? I like both a lot.

Hey Jazzman, ever heard of Chucho Valdez? He's got an excellent album called "Briyumba Palo Congo" which means "Religion of the Congo". Check it.

I spoke too soon. When the last.fm scrobbler was installed, it was causing iTunes to work really hard and pegging my CPU. I have since uninstalled it. So frustrating!

Good to see you back here, I prefer this site slightly over iLike because it scrobbles everything that I play (including my iPod and shared library plays) and the charts. ilike just records updates within iTunes - which doesn't represent everything that I listen to. Seems like it's scrobbling your iPod and iPhone from the looks of your weekly chart.

The last.fm client and the unofficial clients are just not ready for Leopard so I uninstalled them. I had one too many iTunes freeze ups.

I saw a description of Vampire Weekend somewhere last week that said they are like a cross between Talking Heads and Peter Gabriel. I thought, Chad must like them! Then I just noticed them on your recently listened tracks. I've also heard comparisons to Paul Simon and The Strokes, I'll have to check them out.

yeah, I'm listening to iTunes some when I'm at home. I actually switched to GimmeSomeTune so I could automatically grab lyrics. http://www.eternalstorms.at/gimmesometune/

Okay, so none of my iPods are getting scrobbled, just iTunes (which I rarely use) and my PandoraJam player, which is all jazz and classical for work. I may just delete my account since it's so inaccurate.

Have you listened to the Beastie Boys' latest instrumental album? I'm digging it.

Well, last.fm finally got their client working for Leopard so you should see more non-jazz, non-classical back on here!

I liked that Stars song you sent to me, very cool. I've been listening to more of them the last couple of days.

Richard Hawley is like the slick love child of Roy Orbison and Morrissey. Wicked.
