Incredible band. Discovered by accident and was blown away by them. Sad to say, hardly no one knows them here in the U.S. One of my favorite bands.

Hey, just wanted to say "hey". Haven't been on this app in about 4 years cuz stuff. Saw that you sent me a note about Willie Nile. Assume you were talking then about Children of Paradise. Wonderful album. Really love his new tune with Steve Earle, Wake Up America. Loved Willie since I won his first album from a call in radio contest way back in 1980 when I lived in San Antonio. Only knew one song when I picked it up, then put it on the turntable at home, and was blown away.

Glad you're back! Yeah, Willie is our boy. He lives in New York city now, but was born and raised in Buffalo. We still love him here! Will give a listen The Crossing.

Nice library! Interesting to see the Lemon Drops getting so much love. I stopped by because of your comment on the Carly Simon page, but am following because of our mutual love of the Trashcan Sinatras, The Church and Afghan Whigs. Looking forward to checking out a few things you listen to that I’m not familiar with….

Glad you stopped by! Hope you find something that you'll love. I'm always looking to discover new music. Lemon Drops aren't new, but I just discovered them and love 'em. The Church...amazing band nd Steve Kilbey is so prolific! Love the Afghan Whigs, especially Gentlemen. Have to check your library out!

Hello from Russia! I liked the new Young Lions album, but I still like the 2015 and 2017 albums better. I will also look for something new for myself in your library, I'm sure I'll find something interesting :)

Yes. Heard Hallowed Ground and I've become obsessed with it. Have ordered Ricochet and the compilation Inside Out. Unfortunately, Inside Out is back ordered. I hope to get all their cd's that are available, but that's where I'm starting. You obviously have good taste if you've been with them since the late '80's! What's your favorite album?

Love 'Laughter' the most and 'World Without End' is excellent. There's an awesome EP from them "Out Of Hand' too. 'Count Me Out' is the highlight from that EP for me.

Muse album is like an 80's album. But I Like it. It gets better the more times to listen to it. Deaf Havana, that's new to me. Thank you for teaching me! I will listen to it soon.

Superstar Car Wash! That is all. I read your comments on the album page. Nice to see more appreciation for that album. That's (still) my favorite album of all-time by any band. I mostly lost interest in them after that album save for a few songs, but that album is still great.

An amazing album! They are the pride of Buffalo, New York! We love them. I remember when they started out, really a punk band. Superstar Car Wash will always be dear to me. Easily their best album. Thanks for your message!

Hey, nice to hear from you, it seems we have a similar taste, maybe i should give your Top5 a try and dive a little deeper into your artists ;-) "No Love Lost" is one of my alltime fave records, i know "Great Escape" and thats all for me, but i will check more stuff soon after your recommendation... atm i'm deep into 70's and 80's prog, Genesis, King Crimson, Rush and i am truly excited because Porcupine Tree are releasing a new record this summer.

Hey! Yeh it’s criminal (as Devilskin are from where I’m from, NZ) but I really just discovered them recently! I’m aurally in love. And I’ve seen Jenny as vocalist for a different band many many many years ago. So brilliant. Flawless! Pristine production.

Hey, thanks for your message! Yes, Biffy is great, this is a band that i recentley discovered. "Only Revolutions" is my favourite record, although "Myth" and "Celebration" are growing for me atm. Did i told you i got tickets for NMA in late october but the concert was postponed due to covid restrictions? This would have been my first NMA live experience, i still wasn't able to catch them live :-/

Concerning NMA: T&C is always a good start. Then continue with Ghost of Cain, Impurity, Between Dog and Wolf and Winter, this should give you a good insight over their career. T&C, GoC and Impurity are early stuff, absolutley classic. The other two were recorded with the actual staff, Between Dog and Wolf has a lot of WorldMusic vibes, really great! If you got familiar with their discography, you have to hear Night of A Thousand Voices, its a total unusually live record, with fans taking the main part of the singing! For me, listening to NMA for 35 years now, well, i get goosebumps ... every ... f***ing ... time ...

Doing good! Yeah, that 'grandmother' computer sounds like it might be bad! See Love Spreads is your current obsession. Great song! Love the Stone Roses. My favorite of theirs is Mersey Paradise. My latest obsession is Feeder's Shapes and Sounds off 'Tallulah'. Love that album! You're probably not a Boy & Bear fan, but I've been getting into their Suck On Light album. Have a great day (or night)!

Nice to meet you! I'm getting back into Feeder after a loooong hiatus. I really liked Tallulah, but I'm not familiar with what they've done for like a decade. How about you? Any recommendations? I've always found that Jimmy Eat World releases vary between a brighter pop-punkish side and a more melancholic one (Bleed American / Futures). Integrity Blues is firmly in their melancholic vein (maybe not for everyone). Surviving's a brilliant counter to that album - as it's great uplifting record.

Yes, quite a diverse group. Don't know why, but Aussie music has always been my favorite. Voodoo Child is a great song! My favorite Aussie band is still Divinyls. Every album is stellar. If you're not familiar with their body of work (unfortunately, they're mainly known for I Touch Myself), check out Punxie or Sleeping Beauty. You won't be disappointed.

I've heard everything in their catalog on Spotify. I wouldn't think I Touch Myself would diminish anyone's regard. LOL There are TONS of good or great Aussie artists. And not too far removed from the area, one of my favorite artists is a Kiwi...Brooke Fraser. ;-)

Cheers Chuck, I follow you on Spotify now. My Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/martinelli82 feel free to add me. I honestly discovered Black Dove thanks to your scrobbles ;-) They sound class. Other next big things from Scotland are The Snuts and the already popular Gerry Cinnamon, in my opinion. The Coral made a great album as well, it's so nice they didn't lose quality in all these years. It's a pleasure to keep in touch with you mate!

They're all on the Deep Elm lable, like a lot of other great bands. My favourite album of The Appleseed Cast is 'The End Of The Ring Wars', would be great for you to start with. Many songs of these bands are only released on samplers of Deep Elm, like my favorite App. Cast song 'Max', that you can find on 'Emo Diaries - Chapter Two'. They're all on Spotify.

Hey chuck. How was your break over xmas/n.y? Finally got around to listening to the latest British India album. Quite enjoyed precious. But most of the songs on the album i find have a set tempo for the entire song which doesnt really vary at all. Didnt like the last song i listened to by them because of that. Probably isnt a fair reflection of their entire album though. Sorry for being slack on recommendations!
