Hey! I saw that you're going to Coachella and wanted to let you know about my new blog, www.coachellafestival.tumblr.com. Every day for 99 days my blog will feature one artist playing at the upcoming Coachella festival. I've already got a few posts up, so you can check them out and decide if what I'm writing is up your alley. I'm definitely no music expert myself, but what I really wanted to do here is create an information center where you can access basic artist information, third party reviews, music videos, and song downloads conveniently in one place. Researching over a hundred artists involves a lot of work, so I've done the work for you. Happy listening!

Oh man, I hope they do another tour like this so you can have a chance to see it, because that was one of the most ridiculously awesome things of my life.

yeah it's really good stuff, i didn't realize it would be. i'll check it out. it was really good actually. it was cold as hell, but people dealt with it like champs. every band that showed up (because one couldn't) played, so 5 out of 6 isn't so bad. everyone told me it was a huge success, and the bands offered to play again if we set something up. i'm having another Dec 27th I think, but it's on a Tuesday, eddie might be there (he moved to Oakland, but always roadies for a few of his friends).

I actually barely listened to them. It was pretty good, I don't know why I kept holding out on it, I guess because there's just a shit ton of music pouring out now that I can't keep up with it like before. Hey I am having a show at my house on Saturday (so in two days or so). http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6119/6328389297_745722a88d_b.jpg You are welcome to come.

this makes very much sense to me actually :D but i will always forgive radiohead. i was going to say that i will always like a portishead show over a radiohead but i would be lying/cant make that comparison <3

I just don't get into musicians/artists like that anymore. I've seen tons of good bands and musicians since, don't get me wrong. I'm just not excited. I am excited to go to a show and see my friends bands play, those are definitely automatically good times. But those are like $3-$5 dollar shows with no theatrics. You have to do what's good for you man, if making that trip is going to be worth it in the end then you have to go!

I dig Tyler and Earl, but I really need to listen to the rest of the outfits stuff, I also like The Jet Age Of Tomorrow for some reason. That's good man, as long as it works for you. I'm in school right now after a few years of not going, feeling kind of stressed out because of state budget cuts, getting into class next semester might be screwy. But overall I'm very good aside from having a sore throat at the moment.

yeah, i know what you mean. those last two were definitely made for a different crowd, those kids that were getting into them that weren't already into them. but that's okay, i still love SSTB and i'm still listening to music trying to find something to replace that exact album. yeah, they were on this years coachella and that was odd. i got into a lot of trouble, i went to jail a few times and then to rehab and other things, i'm out of trouble now but still out of my mind. i'm just plain and vanilla at the moment which is okay. i guess it's called kitten stompers... it WAS called paranoid literature which was better in my opinion and i dont know why he changed it. we're both into our different scenes, really folky and dramatic music. in fact eddie is putting out a tape of my stuff... ha! brittany is still around here too sort of. do you know spoonboy? her boyfriend bought him a computer... everyones all into trading tapes and sending mail!

man you had the most plays out of anyone i knew. also there is nothing wrong with them, i think we just changed and the band changed and as we went our own directions so did they. and everything after that is like 'bummer' because they were and probably still are my most favorite band. i didn't really listen to them that much online for some reason, but they were most definitely a Car or CD player band for me, that's probably why i liked them so much. how've you been? eddie has a tape label!

I've never seen Panda Bear! So jealous. And FlyLo was amazing the other night! I was beyond impressed with Infinity. It seemed almost like an out of body experience. I did not care for Gonjasufi.

Fever Ray was soooo good. Definitely the best set of Coachella. I probably went a little deaf afterward since I was right by the left speaker, but it was worth it. I wanted to see Pavement, but I waited it out to be in front to see Thom Yorke. And wow you live in San Diego and drive up?! That's dedication. I don't think I've ever driven that far enough for a show except for last year when I saw Animal Collective in Vegas. I couldn't pass that up since it was cheap. Who could say no to Animal Collective two nights in a row? I'm pretty jealous of you going to the Pitchfork Festival. I'm really anxious for a new Panda Bear record!

Man, that's awesome! It's true - when i was in montreal i stayed with a girl i met at ATP and also saw a bunch of other people I recognised - and it's so cool that even if you didn't hang out with them, we all shared such a fantastic experience that unites us in some way... I've been made the manager of my housemates' band and have been organising a tour for them in Jan - we're going to do a road trip - it's going to be heaps of fun!! I actually haven't been to many gigs since getting back, although My Disco was lots of fun a few weeks back. I'm SO poor now since getting back from NY. soooo much debt!! oh well, it was entirely worth it!
