I love IDLES, they're probably my favorite band right now! I came across them about 3 years ago and have been steadily spinning their tunes ever since. Have you had the chance to listen to all of their releases?

nah i haven't even got through their latest album yet :) i do like them tho. normally i find post-punk bands kinda eye-rolling but they have a great energy. brutally snarky. HMLTD is a little similar, if you've ever listened to them

Brutally snarky - I love that! I might have to steal it from ya. :) I am not familiar with HMLTD, but I'll have to check them out!

On a scale of ticked off to dangerously infuriated how did you feel about that fiasco that went down with the concert

I read on setlist.fm that there were serious issues with the equipment truck way out of anyone's control. Still, it was really upsetting that neither of them got to perform their sets. I do think it was cool though that Rob brought them both on for Thunder Kiss '65. Plus, Static-X is coming to a much more intimate venue in The Vogue next April so we at least have that to look forward to.

Yeah it really sucked but at least what little the 2 bands played was great. And them coming out for those covers was definitely a pretty good way to make up for a lot of it. Me and my friends are just gonna go see the tour again in the Ohio date next month to see the show WE WERE MEANT TO SEE. Also I wanna see that tour they are doing next year so bad

9.002 now... I know, impressive, haha. My tastes are ALL OVER the place! And also I've been using Last.fm religiously for the better part of 6 years now, so it adds up after a while.

I've been listening to Spotlights' new album Love and Decay this week; you should definitely give it a listen if you haven't yet.

Bad Wolves opened for Of Mice & Men and Five Finger Death Punch on May 30. I wasn't really impressed with FFDP's live show, but the other two bands were good.

Haha interesting - the reason why I ask is because FFDP and Bad Wolves are coming here with Breaking Benjamin in August, and I'm pretty sure I'll be working that night.

I'm actually moving to Virginia in a couple of weeks. I plan on seeing Trivium with Light the Torch and Avatar in Norfolk this October, so hopefully that will work out.

What do you think of the new Light the Torch album? I think it's great, and I liked Howard's vocal performance. I'm also anticipating the new APC, Bad Wolves, Sevendust, and Underoath albums.

I dig it - definitely love that Howard is still making music. He's one of my favorite metal singers for sure! Also will second your excitement for APC, Sevendust and Underoath, particularly Sevendust and Underoath.

New music I haven't heard yet that I'm pumped for? Arcade Fire, Prophets of Rage, The National, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, MUTEMATH, P.O.D., Stray from the Path, Far from Alaska and Nothing More. Also, dropping tomorrow is the debut from DED which you should definitely check out - nu metal in the vein of Korn / Slipknot / Limp Bizkit / etc.

Sounds like the new Red album will be good. I like the album cover, too. Their last album (Release the Panic) had some good songs, but overall I didn't think it was up to the quality of their previous material. Looking forward to hearing it when it's released.

What does the new Red album sound like? It's going to be a while before I can pick it up, but how does it compare to their previous albums?

Now Papa Roach has released a new single from F.E.A.R. called "Broken As Me". Have you heard it yet? So far it's my favorite of the three new songs.

I agree Ryans vocals seem to improve with every release since the beginning. The old songs they just re recorded some vocal parts, but I can tell they are remixed. The guitars sound so much cleaner. A good example of this is the guitars on What you've done you can hear so much clearer. I dont know if this is just because my old versions are a lower quality, but at first I thought they added a second guitar track until I went back and listened to vol. 1 and the guitars were a lot more muffled and not the main focus. Sounds so much better. It's hard for me to ignore the old tracks since they were my 3 favorite from the new release.
