Good to hear back from you...LA Guns were in town last night, playing a small club, so we went and it made me think to hop on here and see if you had replied. In any bands I should know about?

Hopped on and saw you were scrobbling, thought I'd say hello. I haven't been able to get a scrobbler to work reliably for a long time, which is why I'm rarely on here anymore. Looks like you've still got good taste ; )

Only just saw your comment from August of last year (been a looooong time since being active). If that request still stands, I can only offer what I am mainly digging down here in Aus; being King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, The Hardaches, The Bennies, The Murlocs, Clowns, Harts, Sticky Fingers, DMA's (Not all of them are strictly 'rock' ha). From your neck of the woods, don't mind Beach Slang and PUP......better late than never eh!

I just noticed that comment about Therapy? Since I generally trust your recommendations, I'll go for it.

Not sure if you might like it, it's a mediocre concept album. The things is, that it does not even contain one rockin' track which extremely sucks. Only gave it a few listens, though. I wish they would create something similar to their earlier work, "Buckcherry" and "Time Bomb" were purely amazing.

That's an awesome story, haha! Wish I had a sleaze mate, too...bummer! :/ Some years ago I took a good friend to an AC/DC gig, actually he likes club music, dubstep and such, but he really enjoyed it! I'd have never thought, haha. They did an amazing show here! You listened to Buckcherry's first album, it's one of my favourite albums ever. Already checked out their new record?

It seems that we like the same stuff, awesome! :) Besides the classics, my favourite albums are "Waking The Dead" and "Shrinking Violet". Jizzy Pearl is a great vocalist, really like that "aggressive" undertone in his voice. Was nice to see them getting into another genre than mostly sleaze, those psychedelic/distorted sounds turned out pretty good. Their Led Zeppelin cover is pure brilliance! I would consider "Tales From The Strip" as their best newer work and "American Hardcore" has always been my least favourite by them. Not a big fan of the overall style on it.

Yeah, Phil can't be replaced. I should check them out now with Michael Grant on the guitar, didn't listen much to them lately...do you like Hollywood Forever? And which are your favourite albums by them in general? I don't think they even made a bad one..

I live in the west of Germany. Yeah, we've got some great shows here, mostly festivals during the summer. A lot of rock, alternative and indie...and also some electronic stuff. Sleaze and more hard rockin' things aren't very common these days...except some pure metal gigs. ;) People over here just aren't aware of this kind of music, a lot of them never heared about it. That's a great idea with the accounts, so you can always look back on your listening preferences, I might do the same one day. Although I don't think my taste will go through that much change over again. But I shouldn't say that, you never know. ;)

that sounds so like me. When I became more open to other genres, I first tried to hide it so that no one knows what I'm actually listening to, haha. (I wouldn't be "true" anymore - Oh my gosh!) I remember downloading hip hop tunes and secretly start listening to them, how crazy was that? Now looking back I feel like a complete moron, but good that these times are finally over. ;) "Ziggy Stardust" is a classic, great that you like it! I personally prefer "Aladdin Sane" it is a little bit more glammish. "The Man Who Sold the World" is my second favourite Bowie record, it does not have the typical Bowie-Sound, it sounds pretty raw, contains 70's garage and blues influences. You should really give it a try, the opening track immediately gives an overall feeling of this rather dark album. Wow, 8 years? That's a long time, time really flies...But that's great if you met like-minded people through this site! All my friends have a completely different taste in music,

thanks! The L.A. Guns were my favourite hard rock/sleaze band since I've discovered The Wildhearts few months ago, and that's what I love about them so much, they're more on the melodic side and easy to listen to! I really got into Bowie three years ago I think...can't remember exactly when, but before that time I was almost only listening to all that hard rockin' stuff...lots of glam/sleaze/etc. ...also much classic Rock n' Roll. These days I listen to pretty much everything, not being that close-minded about music anymore, haha. Do you have a favourite album by Bowie? I'm pretty sure you'd like "The Man Who Sold the World". Nah, that's a weird thing adding people and don't talk to them...so why are we here then? It's always great to meet interesting people with a similar taste in music.

Yeah a bit unfortunate considering they're still contracted to Epitaph etc. Turns out the guitarist and drummer are continuing with the Dangerous! name though. And along with doing WI reunion Tommy is also doing some pretty fresh solo stuff, this song in particular is really cool; www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC2fywpwGkg

Your music taste reminds me of when I was young, I've always loved OK Go, Portugal. the Man & Band of Skulls. I learned of Bands of Skulls through Daytrotter. I love The Blue Book from OK Go, I always look at your taste and go "Fuckin' simple taste, it's so amazing!" You listened to Band of Skulls recent album? It's worth a go!

Yeah! 13! I didn't know Church of Rock n' Roll had dropped......, I can definitely agree that Introducing was the GREATEST! In my book The Flamingo Trigger was a bit trashier, I got through Church as soon as you sent it, I'd say it's a bit more Rock than the last. Foxy; They play a lot of shows in Georgia at a place called The Tabernacle Atlanta

I agree, K-Pop really is the best. It shits on Western pop. It's like they discovered the perfect pop formula.
