Juqster.com is the new one to tune into. . . though I doubt anybody from okp would use it at this point.

I have just seen one of the best shows of my life. I. . . just. . . I mean, wow. I was literally right down front center. Rachel broke a string and smiled the entire time. Neil barely opened his eyes and they played 'Albatross' so different, it may as well have been a new song. Only thing I would've liked to have heard but didn't was 'Rutti', but they played two other songs from Pygmalion, so I can't be mad by any means. Holy hell, was it good.

Ancient history, just now added to the internet trash heap, rescued from two cd-rs: http://austintayeshus.bandcamp.com

I received Chronicle XL in the mail yesterday. A lot to process (three discs worth of new material!), but it's good. Really good.

Yeah, I saw that. You think any American dates will surface? I don't — or I would be *very* surprised by any.

I'm pretty sure Hell On Earth is one of my most listened to albums of all time. Mobb was just on another planet for those first two albums seriously. I don't think its possible for me to go a year without listening to allot of hip hop mainly because I have friends who shove new shit in my face all the time because they know I'm obsessed hahaha, though last year I listened to much more rock/jazz in general....specifically with jazz its so easy to get on a run of just discovering stuff just by looking up who played what on X album or just picking a random blue note release you haven't heard

here is a post I made on it recently. http://kosa12.tumblr.com/post/74344807457/my-10-favorite-albums-of-2013. Run The Jewels ended up being my favorite album by a long shot. I listened to that Chance The Rapper mixtape too, but didn't really like it that much tbh, but I did enjoy that Justin Timberlake album quite allot (despite its absence in my top 10), same goes with that Atoms For Piece release. I definitely agree on that, in retrospect every year seems better than it seemed that year because I keep on discovering older stuff. For example one of my favorite albums of 2012 is an Aesop Rock album I didn't listen to until last year (which ended up making me a fan of him)

Here's the latest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUf33wpWY1c It's the longest I've spent working on a song — about twelve hours. I THINK it was worth it. . .?

Hey Travis, thanks again for listening and for the feedback. I just try to play what I hear, after all.

Hey Travis. Thanks for listening! You know, basslines are always the hardest part of the songs for me. You've probably noticed that some of the songs don't even have basslines — this is why. And I try not to just ride the root, so that means a lot for you to notice and comment.

Here's the newest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLKq4UcLcBI I didn't like it, so I nuked the old one and re-recorded it with some spacier dynamics and effects. Thanks for listening and feedback.

Well, I just bought it on Sunday so I'm still in the excited phase where I think everything I do on it sounds great. I found it used at Guitar Center for $100 and at that price, considering it's a digital delay AND reverb pedal in one unit, I think it was a darn good deal. Remember, I'm playing it through a Dean Markley acoustic pickup, so it's going to sound a little different than an electric (or an acoustic with electronics in it). My main thought in getting that pedal (which I wanted as soon as I saw it — I was going to go for the MXR Carbon Copy which is an analog delay and which I still might look into in the future) was to try and copy the sounds that John Martyn would get out of the Echoplex. And I think, in that regard, it's exactly what I wanted. If I have one complaint it's that the reverb settings do have a bit of noticeable white noise (less noticeable with the delay + reverb settings, for some reason). Though this could also be something to do with my pickup.

awesome man thanks. i had no idea about that el-p/mobb deep stuff. i wish that would've happened haha. had mobb deep formed a friendship early on with el-p and instead of going to shit in the 2000s...signed to like...def jux and started doing el-p produced stuff (assuming prodigy doesnt go to shit on the mic) they could've made some kick ass records

yeah to be honest my listening habits tend to focus on older music, while at the same time listening to the new releases eventually...right now I'm listening to a fuck ton of 60s rock, from lists I have found on RYM and I'm finding allot of shit that I like. The "standard" rock band that might have a random mainstream hit in the 1960s was definitely allot better than the "standard" now lol. In terms of new music I still have to listen to the new Talib Kweli album, the new The National album and a mixtape by a rapper named Chance The Rapper

will do - thanks for sharing. Knowing your penchant for Radiohead covers, you may want to check out Punch Brothers most recent full-length (Who's Feeling Young Now) for an interesting cover of the title track from Kid A... (whole album is worth hearing actually, but their covers are always good - they do a really really impressive cover of Josh Ritter's epic "Another New World" on their most recent ep that is just great)
