I just read what I wrote you this morning and I can't believe it was somewhat coherent. I don't usually drink that much but one of my best mates went through chemotherapy for cancer a month or so ago and he was just told they think they got it all and he should be OK. We over-celebrated a bit...

Oy, I just crawled in from a club where I had one drink too many. lol. The Poland shoot required tons of CGI but, fortunately, we can use the scene. It was worth spending an extra £30,000 than reshooting. My head is swimming and I need to crawl into bed. I'll be more cogent tomorrow mate. Chat with you then. Cheers.

Work has been keeping my busy. Have been traveling quite a bit in the last few months--Gdansk, Krakow, Prague, Bruges, Manchester, Dublin, and Paris (the last two weren't for business). What are you doing for your summer break?

Good to hear from you. I've been busy with work mostly. And I just finished a major remodeling of my flat which took far too long and was far too expensive. I was in Prague for four days last week (for work) and heading to Dublin (for holiday) this weekend. And I'm spending far too much time dreading the coming of winter...

The NoW situation is simply a scandal--we have them about every two years. The PM seems to be lashing back full charge on this one. But it seems the US is headed for a crisis that could extend far beyond its borders (at least that's how it looks from afar). It seems that ultra-conservative-evangelical species rears its head about every 8 years and then fades away for a time. But this seems very different, probably because they are now heavily funded thanks to the recent US Supreme Court Citizens United decision that classifies corporations as individuals in political giving. But I can tell you that all of Europe is absolutely terrified of the US not raising its debt ceiling. If the US defaults on its obligations, it very well could be catastrophic to some countries. Now that I've bored you with my doom and gloom scenario, I need to head to the Manchester airport and head back to London. Have a good night mate and hope to catch up with you again. Cheers.

What a great city to study photography in. In many ways, Boston reminds me of parts of London. It's odd being here in London and reading about all the "debt ceiling" craziness going on in the US. Then, of course, we have our own phone hacking scandal over here.

What are you studying at uni? Boston is such a great city. One of my college roommates was from there so I've been there several times. I did my BA at Stanford in contemporary art and film theory and then got my MA in film writing and directing at USC Film School. I work for an international film company based here in London. I direct the script acquisition and development units here in London and in Los Angeles.
