We have low music compatibility? I already knew that! Besides, I want to listen to new and different stuff anyway.

Hrm, "My Cabal" has become my most listened to track here. I suppose it's a good one to have, yes?

I know! 2/3s of it, right? It's probably my favorite Madonna album had I to pick one, slightly edging out the debut.

My copy of the Temper Trap album shipped today - hooray! :) Have you heard the "Sweet Disposition" remixes yet? They're actually quite good!

So how was Guy & Co. last night? Dingo sent me some pictures and it looked amazing. Jealous!

Maybe we never discussed it then. Hrm. I heard it on the radio years ago - probably around the time it came out - but thought I had made it up because when I'd talk to other people about it they'd look at me like I was nuts. So it was so exciting to find out it exists AND that it was as amazing as I remember it. "Kiiiiiim! Thursonnnnn! Leeeeeee! The Drummmeeeerrrrrrr!!!!" So good.

You got to go see Boxer Rebellion? Jealous! Wish I had known, I'd have asked you to pick me up a CD copy of the album. Oh well. I agree that "Flashing Red Light Means Go" and "Move On" are an incredible 1-2 punch to start the album, but for me it's all about "Misplaced" lately - so gorgeous!

Every time I listen to 'Union' I love it more and more. Like, in the way I love certain other albums we talk about all the time how amazing they are. It's not there yet, obviously, but in 5/10 years, I can see this being on level with, dare I say it, 'Further'. [Can you friggin believe that album is 12 years old!!!]

I've been having a 'Further' moment the past few weeks - I just can't stop listening to it. It's so...well, you know.

[01] Oh my god I love the demo of "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" with the jugs and kazoos and all that crazy shit. So good. [02] I finally listened to the School of Seven Bells album - a-mazing. I feel so behind things by letting that one slip by for so long.

Have you heard the new Jane's recordings of "Whores" and "Chip Away" yet? They're SO FUCKING AMAZING it's unbelievable. Especially "Chip Away", which was never one of my favorites on the debut but totally kicks all kinds of ass in this new version.

So, somehow I had never listened to Jane's Addiction on my iPod or in iTunes until the other night, as when I synced everything up "Ritual de lo Habitual" all came up as new plays. SHOCKING! [Insert bad pun about "Nothing's Shocking", etc.] That's really not OK.

Umm..have we ever talked about how much I LOVE "13 Above The Night"? Cuz it's fucking HOT! [harhar]

It's been a few months at least since we've had a Geneva love-in, right? So....I LOVE Geneva! :)

YES! It was totally 'The Chad Who Loved Me' that my friend Leeann and I loved back in the day. So gorgeous...though so unlike anything else on here, yes? Haven't quite decided on the rest, but the very least I lurve this song. :)

My deluxe "Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret" finally showed up today...this is some good shit. However, even though I'm not overly familiar with the Soft Cell discography I'd be VERY surprised if this was anywhere near a complete round-up of what's out there. As far as an overview, though, it really can't be beat.

It is indeed for Thicke Jr....I saw it today in Target. Still, kind of scary. I had no idea.

I'm pretty sure they're for Alan himself, but I'll pay more attention next time it pops up and report back.

Am I making things up or are there really ads for an Alan Thicke album all over this place. Did I miss something?

I know we talk about this all the time, BUT - I'm listening to "Adam and Eve" for the first time in at least a year, and it is SO FUCKING GOOD. I just had to share that with someone. I'd highly recommend giving it a spin if you haven't in a while - I'd forgotten just how truly amazing it is.

[01] The cute thing about the Parralox album is that each song is dedicated to someone, presumably who inspired it. And I know one of the songs is dedicated to PSB - not sure if it's the one that basically rewrites 'Rent', but it might be. I'll have to double check. [02] I generally agree with you on covering 'Creep' - well, Radiohead in general - but I actually really like their take on it. I don't know why, because I know I shouldn't, but I find it charming. [03] I'm not sold on the Presets. I think we've discussed it before, I'm not sure. Todd is all about them and I hear it in the car a lot when we're driving together, but something about it just doesn't sit well with me. I find them a bit cheesy actually...I say as I listen to old Revolting Cocks records, but there you have it. ;)

Any thoughts on the Parralox album yet? Because I cannot believe how good 'We Believe In Electric Love' is...and the rest ain't half bad either. Except 'Black Jeans', which is shit of the highest order. :(

"How does it feel to hear your songs on the radio? / And does it hurt to hear your songs on the radio?" Why isn't it October yet? And this totally should have been the single ahead of the [admittedly amazing but not quite as good] 'I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me'. Oh, Annie...

Oh my...that's so sad. :( What a fucking tour that was... [Not to rub it in, but earlier that afternoon I got to see Catherine Wheel at an acoustic performance in the studio of the radio station I worked at at the time...the four of them and like four of us. A-mazing.]

You never got to see them? Man, I always assumed you saw them on the same tour I did - when they opened for Catherine Wheel promoting "Adam and Eve". Oh MAN, what a show!

It actually took me a good 6 months or so of having the album to really get the second half. It definately wasn't until after I saw them live that I really got passed the singles and took in the album as the beautiful whole it is. I listened to it on the way to work this morning, and it was such a nice way to start the day. *sigh*

Oh yeah, and I have heard the songs St Famous has streaming at their Myspace. I'm definately excited for the album! :)

The second half of "Further" always surprises me with how amazing it is for some reason - it's not as immediate as the first, but it is easilly as gorgeous, if not moreso. *sigh*

I know I don't need to remind you how amazing Geneva are/were, but I'm listening to them as I load them onto my laptop and I just had to gush about them to someone. I miss Geneva so very, very much. :(

"Everything's The Rush" is the new Delays album - and it just never gets there, sadly. "Valentine" is one of the naughts best singles, hands down - it's really a shame they can't even come close anymore. :( [That doesn't stop me from buying everything hoping they will one day get there, however.]

OK, so I seriously can't thank you enough for passing on 'When I Return To The World' to me. Holy shit - amazing. It's the giant pop moment that "Everything's The Rush" is missing I've decided. Though I think I prefer the Camel Rider Remix to the Manhattan Clique one.

'Heat' is friggin HOT. I don't know as to if I'd say the best thing they ever did, but certainly one of the best.

2005 I think it was supposed to come out - Lakota wouldn't put it out without a Top 20 single behind it though. The first single - a limited 7 of 'She's Gone' b/w 'Heat' - obviously didn't chart. The second single - 'Coming Home' - got a full release but barely made the Top 40 I think. Then they broke up. Shame, as the stuff that got out was really, really good.

So I thought of another album we could reissue - well, issue in this case - on our label. The long lost 3rd JJ72 album. I'm shocked it hasn't gotten out there yet.
