We're aiming to be finished by 11 so that folk can get last buses, so shouldn't be a problem so long as nothing goes wrong (fingers crossed!). R. Stevie - yeah, it's a bit of a minefield, he's done so much stuff, and across so many genres, from weird avant-garde stuff to quite middle of the road cheesiness! This comp is a good starting point though, for his poppier side, and free download: http://archive.org/details/lf060mp3 Then there are his own Unpopular Singer Best-Of's on his bandcamp, there's a few: http://rsteviemoore.bandcamp.com/album/unpopular-singer-vol-1-2 If you fancy actually buying something, then there are two relatively recent comps on Cherry Red, Meet The R. Stevie Moore and Me Too, which are both really really good as well. Hope that helps! YouTube is also a good way to check his stuff out, there's millions of his vids up, and you can just jump to a related vid if you get bored!

Ah, didn't make it to Field Day in the end sadly. But hoping to see R. Stevie Moore in Glasgow next week to make up for it!

I usually got picked up by someone's parents until last year when my friend moved to Dundee. Not much help really... I don't think buses run very late.

Do you have the Everything Everything album? I can't find a link that's not been deleted!

I'd kill to see Arcade Fire live however bad the venue is. Hell I'd kill to see Wake Up live then go home. There's an outside chance I'll be able to get a free day ticket to Reading the day they're on, which would be so fucking great. But yeah, Bestival, woooooooooooooooooo

Will probably wait for the official release on that one. Well excited about it and all. Can't make my mind up about The Suburbs, it's good but not as good as I hoped it would be. It just seems a bit too long and becomes a bit boring at times. I'd probably like it more if it wasn't an Arcade Fire album if that makes sense.

So charming and adorable :) Yeah I did. I resisted the urge to sing and scream and cry on the front row with all the other fawning gay boys.

That's absolutely amazing man. Well done for even thinking of it. Well you've made two excellent choices so far, just keep it up. The only really good local bands I can think of are Tango in the Attic and Ambulances. I dunno if either of them would be suitable for the Islet gig but they're worth investigating at least. If I can think of anything else I'll let you know.x

Maybe it was for the best I didn't meet him. I'm pretty sure I couldn't control the urge to give him a massive hug.

10 hours! You live in Scotland right? It took us almost two hours just to get out of the car park and then another 3 to drive home. But saw some great bands, my highlights being The Coral, The National and Grizzly Bear I think.

Ah that sucks man,. Yeah i can't wait for Broken Social Scene, it's going to be amazing! And i'm not sure if i'm definetly going to End Of The Road yet but hopefully because the lineup is amazing and the whole setting and everything just looks unbelievable. Yeah it's really strange that Pains are playing in Stirling, now i just need to find someone who wants to go with me and can drive haha. Jealous you're going to Latitude, the lineup for that looks amazing as well!
