I miss the fact that last.fm no longer has an app that I can access via my iPad. I used to enjoy hearing my favourites in the kitchen. Will still continue to use the site due to the fact that I have invested so much time! Did not realise that email notifications for shouts and messages had not continued.

Hi Deb. I thought you might like to check out the exciting news about the forthcoming LP, SOLID STATES, by longtime faveband, The Posies. My post includes "Squirrel vs Snake," the free downloadable song they've made available. http://powerpopulist.blogspot.com/2016/03/the-posies-announce-new-album-offer.html

THRILLED to see the Posies Blood/Candy on your Best of 2010 list! So overlooked, and such a brilliant record. Now, your whole list is validated, so I'll have to listen to all the stuff on it that I've missed!

Thanks for the promised headsup on your Best of 2010 list, Deb. It's an extremely strong list, and I'm looking forward to working my way through it. I appreciate the honesty of your alphabetical approach to such a subjective endeavor. And as always, I cherish the opportunity to share in the passion you and Mr. Q bring to this music we love.

Thanks again for the comment. I was poking around at Grooveshark and noticed both the Ether Aura albums are hearable there. (I didn't see them in your library.) http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/artist/Ether_Aura/65219 I posted on them four years ago and have really enjoyed them. I recommend starting with "6 Days Yesterday," "Twist," and "All Doves Grey." Both LPs are available at eMusic. What are you recommending these days? BTW, I'm trying to psych up to join the Tribe.

Excellent recomms at your blog! I've started reserving some of The Blue Van at eMusic and will go down the rest of the list as well. I discovered/loved Baby Woodrose earlier in the year and bought some nice ones at eMusic. Sometimes I just park myself at your recently played list here at last, split the screen w/ eMusic, and go down your list to see what's available. That's how, for example, I discovered Abraham Cloud! As to what I might recommend, here are a couple of posts that might give insight. I especially recommend Ozma, Eurovox, and Magnapop, but plenty of others as well. http://powerpopulist.blogspot.com/2010/08/pppurchae-april-august-2010.html - http://powerpopulist.blogspot.com/2010/08/magnapop-make-me-pop.html - http://powerpopulist.blogspot.com/2010/07/pppurchae-march-2010.html
