Back when I had my Dell desktop, it was seriously ALL I listened to. I made my last.fm on that comp, so it picked up all those play counts. Then like 2yrs ago is when I got into screamo / post hardcore / metalcore. This summer when I switched to my mac, I had to restart everything on iTunes, so my playcounts here on last.fm and iTunes don't match up at all.

Thanks for the recommendations. I have heard all three of them. I do like Handlebars by Flobots, just haven't gotten around to getting more of their music. The other two I don't like. I see you like Ballyhoo! and since you are from the area have you heard: Others May Fall, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Outreach, Skitzo Calypso? (Or Loving the Lie? I don't like them but you might) They are all locals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx_xw0X2w1U (OMF)

Yeah I was surprised to see it wasn't up on their site yet. Luckily RBF made a post on Facebook that tickets for that show were available with a link.

Niceeee, nice. Sounds like smart stuff, haha. That's awesome! :] Are you friends with them, lol? I've seen a couple of their oldschool pictures of them playing when they were super young on FB haha. I'm definitely going to try to see them when they come to AZ again. And really, I'm not sure yet, there are soo many choices. D: Like...I was thinking either like music journalism or maybe like an assistant producer or maybe even PR or tour manager, just can't decide. I also want to learn bass as well and start a hobby band eventually. :]

you'll have to give me your fb link... it's really not that easy to look up someone in a diff state and network, too many people with the same name and half of the networks don't show up :/ sorry!

Thanks for joining my group. I have always been a huge Ska fan, but when I went to college the scene died. There was a huge Anti-Ska movement in the underground for a long time, and not a lot of bands were playing shows around me. A few years ago I started listening again, but not at the level I use to. Lately Life has been hectic and I have been listening to the sweet sounds of Ska and Reggae to help even things out. Spread the word about the group and let me know if you are having trouble finding any music. I'll hook you up if I have what you need. Also if you know of any new Ska bands that are popping up let me know. I am always looking for good new music. It doesn’t matter if it’s Traditional Ska, Ska-Punk, SkaCore, or Reggae. I love it all! Have a nice day!

Haha, it's true. That's because in high school all I did was sit at home and listen to insane amounts of music, so all the songs with the highest play counts are from my high school years. I wanted to do that collage thing you have with the band names, but i feel like I have to do some editing so it accurately reflects my current music tastes :P I miss you too.

Wow, you seem to really like Sublime...I once sat in a parking lot listening to a live show with my friend on the phone. It was recent though, with Rome...but he's a pretty decent singer, don't you think?

Lucky lucky! I would love to see Reel Big Fish in concert! My friend from Norfolk keeps telling me that I need to come down and see them. They were touring with the Warpped Tour this year and I was going to go, but I had already seen The Smashing Pumpkins, and I was going to see Sublime with Rome. And speaking of them, they are awesome in concert. They actually had a set list and they weren't drunk on stage :P. I'm a huge Sublime fan as well. I <3 me some Bradley Nowell and I agree that he would have wanted the music to keep going. I'm glad that they were able to make it happen.

Lol, that's awesome. BallyHoo is awesome. I actually heard them for the first time tonight. Saw them under your artists and liked them instantly. And to see them would totally be awesome. I have yet to go to an actual "Ska show" if you will. Well.. Besides seeing Sublime with Rome. I've also never been to an MSI concert. Which I reallllly want to go see.

yeah man, ive been listening to mischief brew nonstop for the past month or so. as far as recommendations, it looks like you have a ton of stuff, i would say explore the earlier ska waves, namely, 2 tone. go with the specials. i would highly recommend any crack rock steady band, i like them all. um i dont think i saw much clash on your profile so i would go with them since they are so influenced by ska. um give bad brains a try, theyre an 80's hardcore punk, rasta, reggae band i love them. dead kennedys are a great. um, early against me! anarcho folk punk like mischief brew. for more modern ska, check out all the bands at http://www.communityrecords.org most of the music there is up for free download, oh and operation ivy is one of my favourite 3rd wave ska bands
