they wre good. The venue they played in isn't the best. It's pretty much concrete shell so the sound could've been better. It was really bass heavy and the guitar struggled to cut through it at times which was a shame.

Hey there, buddy-pal! Sorry I took so long to reply, I haven't been living my internet life to my liking, as of late, I've been too busy with real life. </3 Anyways, lately I've been mostly into... weird stuff. Stuff that's outside of rock music, for the most part. I've been exploring various avant-garde sounds. I've been listening to a lot of jazz (modern and otherwise. free-jazz, stuff that can only be described as avant-garde, and 'jazzcore'. Jazzcore is my SHIT!), the Canterbury scene, krautrock, weird IDM stuff, a lot of classical minimalism, shoegaze, and even some blues stuff. On the metal side, I've been really into Animosity, Kayo Dot, Gorguts, The Red Chord, Ufomammut, Giant Squid, Terra Tenebrosa, Rwake, Iron Monkey, and Intronaut. There's a lot of other sounds I've been exploring, but there's only so many characters I can include in a shout... Hope all has been well with you.

sorry this took 5ever to respond. thanx!! and check out dangers! they're really unique hardcore with incredible lyrics. if you haven't listen to nails - unsilent death, make sure to do that too. wavves was fine in concert, im not into moshing for pop punk, but there was plenty of that. they performed good, i wish nathan would have spoken more between songs. idk why but yeah. also he only played like 2 good songs off the new album. KOTB songs r great live. he only played like one song from his lo-fi shit, no hope kids. modest mouse didn't play any old shit at all, don't expect them to if you plan to see them live haha. and st. vincent is fucking great, her best album is "strange mercy". it's like some sort of electro-jazz-wave-rock. and then her album "actor" is excellent too, it's like baroque pop-musical-indie-rock kinda sound haha. her album marry me is pretty poppy, it's pretty good.

Can is a magical dream built upon the fragile waters of anarchy. Listen to Future Days and relive your infancy. SaU has dissolved but since then I have started working on two other ideas, Bending which is just me fiddling with guitar pedals(i have an album out: http://www.mediafire.com/?m3js0s6xjd3y2l9), and Snowtown which is a fully-fledged band with two of my friends. The latter is much more accessible than the gurgled dregs of SaU though, we have a song right now on youtube if you're interested. As far as abstract stuff I've been into recently, I guess you could think about Nurse With Wound or maybe you'd like some of the post-punk I've been getting into recently, like Rat At Rat R.

I'm a terrible friend. I don't even remember what my promises were, all I know is that I broke them. </3

Hey, sorry for the late reply - I don't really look at my shoutbox that often. I was recovering from a concussion at the time and spent most of the show trying to look away from the lights, didn't go into the crowd. Was one of the best shows I've been to, a very rabid crowd with a rare intensity that you'd usually only find at a big ticket metal or hardcore show here. The crowd was interesting, a large portion of it were over 30. They started about two and a half hours later than billed, we got lucky and didn't wait around at the venue as Ethan Kath was sitting next to us where we were getting dinner and we managed to eavesdrop that they were going to be a while. Couldn't see too much of what was on stage, Alice crowd surfed and was pretty wild in general, it was interesting to hear some of the old tracks played on analog instead of digital which was a lot harsher (in a good way) for the most part - the newer tracks seemed a bit limited compared to the studio version though.

Yellow & Green is actually pretty good, but I'm not in love with it. Maybe after more listens... About Converge, I don't know! I listened to it just once, and I was really busy so I quite don't remember it. I only know well Jane Doe from them, which is an awesome chaos... I guess I will listen to more albums from them soon.

Ok, so I confirm that this album from LoG is pretty good, I'm gonna listen their others albums when I have the time and the motivation. I didn't like Evenings, really not my kind, but interesting anyway. About Botch, I'm pretty much convinced. ;) Thank you for sharing that link, I which I could have the time to listen all that stuff. Too much bands out there :D

Thanks for the recommandations, I'm gonna try those songs when I'm back at home. About LoG, I listened to the album you said, and I was actually thinking that it's not that bad. I guess that it's pretty much better that the tracks I know but I wasn't really focused though. I don't know Evenings, but I like your description, I'll tell you what I think about them. Well, I'm mostly into The Link and Terra Incognita, even if I like the other albums from Gojira (I had some troubles to get into L'Enfant Sauvage though, but after listening a few times... can't wait to see them again ths week!). As for Behemoth, I love Evangelion, also listened a lot to The Apostasy and Demigod. Oh, and I already know and like Russian Circles, but the website you linked me seems interesting ^^

i'd go doolittle -> surfer rosa - > bossanova -> trompe le monde. it's the best way to get into them imo.

About the French adress, this is totately correct, though the street "rue du 3 septembre" doesn't exist, it seems to rather be "rue du 4 septembre". I'm currently into a sludge/post-metal mood but everything is good to take. I already know Isis which is a great band, but I need to listen to that album again (I mostly know Panopticon). I recently listened to 3 Meshuggah albums, but, even if I find it musically good, I can't get into it, I don't feel "connected" if you understand what I mean. I never really liked what Lamb of God do, but it's an opporunity to give them another try... However, I never heard about Botch. I will listen to one or two songs from that album. I thought I didn't like hardcore until this summer when I discovered Terror. I also saw a part from a Sick of It All show a few days later, but I guess I was too tired (well, dying!) to really appreciated it (but it was pretty powerful). I hope I could re-catch them later.

haha wow that means a lot. i didn't expect anyone to actually like it, bahaha. by the way, i'm currently in the process of producing and mixing probably the last saturday as usual album. it's a lot better than the other garbage i've been making for years so when that's done i'll make sure you get a copy.

i honestly never checked out hella, would that interest me do you think? NLDW is probably the best release so far in my opinion. in fact, they only keep getting better. but nothing will ever beat the fever, that song is just off the chain.

Ah thats what I thought. Can't go wrong with Algernon Cadwallader's "Some Kind of Cadwallader" and "Parrot Flies". Snowing's "FYEB" and "I Could Do Whatever I Wanted If I Wanted" are essential, as are Castevet's "Summer Fences" and "The Echo & the Light". After that, Grown Up's "More Songs", Everyone Everywhere's 2010 S/T, and Midwest Pen Pal's "Inside Jokes EP" are very rewarding. I could go on for awhile but I think thats enough for now.
